Some context for The World Looks White with slight spoilers: This song is very eerie and calm, made even more creepier as you enter the Violence layer of Hell and are greeted with a very white labyrinth and stillness. You would expect the place to be much more violent, given the name and the events that take place prior to getting to this point. The songs of this layer have a sense of melancholy and tragedy to them all, as this layer reflects on violence rather than the act of it. This is the point of Ultrakill’s story where the bleakness and inevitable end of it all becomes more transparent, with less glory present in the songs and more tragedy appearing There’s certainly a loss of innocence too, with the main player headed further and further into their own grave as they continue to venture into Hell The album covers show 3 Mannequins, grotesque demons of stone that are native to the violence layer. Violence as a whole is taken very differently in Ultrakill, but I won’t elaborate on that cause spoilers

The rabbit-eared plushie things are a robot species called Bangboo that are uniquely suited to survive in the game setting's urban and sometimes corrupted environments. In general this game's team-building tends to be either around appropriate elements or factions, both of which can synergize: since a team is three characters and any faction that doesn't already have more than that is planned to this works out. Billy, Anby, and Nicole are guaranteed to become permanently available through gameplay so you automatically get one potential team with no glaring weaknesses and decent versatility. I'd say your own choice of faction, Victoria Housekeeping (I'm using Ellen, Rina, and Corin (the girl with the rotary saw and Frankenstein motif) a lot right now) has a slightly higher skill floor whenever the needs for defense or solo combat turn up but they cover for each other well enough you can usually ignore that.

lmaooo the face you made at the end when the girl appeared and you were so confused. Yes, this season is a bit confusing, and watching again after you have finished might help you understand things better. I know for sure I didn’t get it the first time, I actually read the manga first because back then season 2 was no released. Honestly, I wouldn’t really recommend the manga so much because there is less censorship. They don’t shy away from even worse imagery than the anime, and theres a lot more nudity (of children). The anime also doesn’t change much from the manga, it is almost word for word. Although I do love the environment and creature art, the artist is very skilled, his apparent hobby of sexualising his young characters is pretty gross. Especially in sketches he includes as extras which are not part of the story, rather uncalled for. When I read the manga, I basically feel morally bankrupt for appreciating it despite the perverse nature of it’s author. But given that we enjoy watching such suffering, perhaps its fitting to punish ourselves for reading it and remind ourselves that this work of fiction is supposed to make us feel as disturbed as possible. But for anyone else reading, we all know that chapter with the twins was just unacceptable.
