Olen Kainuussa 1992 syntynyt perusduunarien perheeseen. Olen vuosien aikana eksynyt ensin Kajaaniin ammattikorkeakouluun opiskelemaan kone- ja tuotantotekniikkaa ja sieltä Lappeenrantaan opiskelemaan tuotantotaloutta. Omassa perheessäni ja lähisuvussa ei ole opetettu oikein suomalaista teollisuushistoriaa eikä siihen ollut myöshään oikein yliopistossa pakottavaa kurssia. Nyt kun 30v olen jo täyttänyt niin olen vasta viimevuosina katsonut enenevissä määrin KZbinsta suomalaista teollisuushistoriaaa. Tämä video tekee sille suurta kunniaa ja opettaa miten kovaa duunia historiassa on tehty ja nostettu Suomi ns. suosta. Näiden alojen ansioista Suomi on noussut hyvinvointivaltioiksi. Mielestäni kaikissa insinöörikouluissa pitäisi opettaa pakollinen teollisuushistorian kurssi, jotta ymmärtäisi miten paljon hyvää duunia on tehty. Olen katsonyt tämän varmaan 3-4 kertaa ja kyynelehtinykin pari kertaa. Velipuolen (10v) kanssa olen tämän myös kerran katsonut ja suosittelen jokaiselle katsomaan tämän ja esim Koskisen sahan historianvideon katsomaan. tv. dippa dropout ja nykyinen tekoälykoodari.

Отличное видео. Но зря не показали шильдик двигателя. Там написано "WUMAG Göerlitz". Это значит, что дизель выпущен между 1921 и 1945 годами...

The reserve powerplant is located inside an industrial estate that is unfortunately not open for the public. One of the reasons of making this video was to give access to this piece of industrial heritage.

Not totally true - in wintertime sun goes so deep over horizon on that location, so it is not a option to rely only on solar.

I worked in a coal power factory and syncing a turbine driven generator needed complete manual synchronisation at that time. It was always a challange. Today, its only a push of a button, you're right.....

Thank you for your question. The power station is not in the reserve use anymore, but it is now used as a museum. However, all the four engines are still completely functional.
