This song is so soul touching. Reminds me of a relationship I thought was going to be long lasting, if not forever. I flew in for a long weekend. The night before she said she could throw herself down on the floor in a temper tantrum, because I wasn't already there. When I arrived the next day, she was still at work, so I waited with excitement for her arrival. When she arrived she had no enthusiasm or spark for me. She was cold and said she just needed a shower. Anyway, it didn't get any better from her initial arrival. To get to the point, she decided another employee she worked with was a better match for her and her future. I was so devastated that I could not sleep for several days afterwards. It took me months to start losing the anxiety and regain my integrity. I eventually found a wonderful woman and we married and had kids. But, this song kind of brings back the memory of the angst I felt when the other lady aborted our relationship.

I hear his music with every cell in my body. With every song for years and years. The intensity I feel his music has not diminished since 1998.

I like the chord progression. E to E, then E and then more E but at the end the climax he switches to E. Amazing and ultra non-boring.

no cell phones...no cell phones... the world was better without them. 100% better without them. Just be present. Just soak it up and be.
