I love this. In “Good to Great” Jim Collins credits Kimberly-Clark CEO Darwin Smith for always looking in the mirror to accept responsibility for failure, and always looking through the window to credit his team for success.

This makes complete sense. However, I suspect that most people who have risen to the top ranks within an organization won’t be willing to share their authority - they tend to become dictatorial when the power they wield goes to their head.

What a great tool. I’m gonna try this and see what happens. I’m so ready to let go and recalibrate these trigger points. Perhaps gaining a new perspective of them so I can use them instead of letting them effect my day negatively 🫶

I so love today's memory lane topic! I'm slightly embarrassed to say I had dinner with another professional recently ... and I took notes with me on a 3x5 index card to refer to during dinner discussion. It was the perfect medium to capture my thoughts, have on hand, and use in dialogue without getting hung up in my device during conversation. I might consider tucking one into my purse for all time now! Why throw away simple strategies that actually work!
