WOW!!! I was a tour guide here in 1994 and it has TOTALLY changed!!! The only thing going on back then ( and the plantation looked more authentic to the time period of the costume I wore) was the holiday/Christmas tour. It was in the evening and a choir sang Christmas carols in the first bedroom upstairs on the right that was being renovated. We had candles and oil lamps for a more authentic feel and after the tour everyone would head out to the carriage house, where they had Christmas treats and wassial to drink (nonalcoholic). We did have a gift shop then at the back of the house, a small one. I wonder if they still have the gathering of tradesmen of the 1800’s still in the big yard to the left of the house. It was for a couple of days and I loved going to it, coming home smelling like wood smoke. Lovely memories.

This is absolutely horrible to have lost him this early in life. It’s too soon. May God comfort you Rebecca Haynes and Shafer Family. I pray you all know that Jesus died for all our sins so that whoever has faith in his atoning sacrifice will live again after death! There is only way to The Father of Heaven and that’s through Jesus Christ!
