Interesting build! I just got all the parts to start mine. Gc8 type ra Ej207 closed deck, ported head gsc s3, beehice springs so i cam rev it out. Does your turbo make power all the way to redline? I got a gtx3582r and its on a stand alone with all the sensors. Hoping the rolling antilag will help me vs having to brake boost. My 2.0L will struggle a bit more to spool this turbo than yours but im hoping i can rev it out and thatll make up for it. I did all arp hardware but i didnt do the firelock. We dont have that tech in Thailand readily available so hopefully i can get 30psi ish easy enough.
@Turb0.On.Wheels10 ай бұрын
Thank you, sorry for my delayed reply. Yes, this turbo makes power to redline. I am running a 1.21 AR vband housing, so exhaust flow thru the turbo is not an issue. What size head studs are you using?

1.21 rear housing? that's quite large isn't it? There any reason why you would go that large? I was looking at this turbo for my 2.5 EJ build but was thinking of going with the .83 or 1.01 maximum. my goals would be 670-700whp dynojet.
@Turb0.On.Wheels2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I am running the 1.21 turbine housing. I know of another subaru with this turbo and a 1.01 housing, the peak boost point is the same, 6000 rpm. I run the big housing to keep EGTs low. I made 713whp at 38 psi, you will probably make around the same or more depending on your compression ratio, fuel, etc. I could have pushed the car further, but on race ethanol, there is more fuel demand and my exhaust needs S3 cams/full 4".

Potentially with rolling anti lag(or a two smaller twin turbos, but big enough to keep good top end) and a sequential, easily Tesla plaid numbers. you're about a second off of the 60-130 mph time at 6 seconds dead, but thats with a timer, not a gps. Very impressive. Sounds incredible too. 700 hp in a lighter platform exceeds expectation, you'd def gap P100d's, and any supercars that come your way.
@Turb0.On.Wheels2 жыл бұрын
The hard part about the whole 60-130mph time for me is that i can't really brake boost much in 3rd gear at 60mph. I'd need to be closer to 75mph to get some decent boost built. I can make another video with some real brake boosting vs. what I did in this video, which was not much.

No, I am still running the 1.21 housing. The difference in this video vs. the other one is that I did a little brake boost (7-10psi), I live at sea level now (the old video i was at 3000' elevation), the car is fully dyno tuned and I now run on race ethanol only (EthanolOne R).

@@Turb0.On.Wheels ahh that makes sense. Very nice bro wish you success with it all. Was it a noticeable difference with the denser air? Curious haha

@@govar453 Thanks brotha. Yes there was a difference with turbo response at lower RPM for sure, its just easier for it to build boost at sea level in general. The peak spool point remained the same, which is 6k rpm. With how the car revs out and shift points, 6k rpm is perfect. The longer gears the car has really helps too.
