If your studio fluctuates in temperature and humidity worth having a thermometer and hygrometer . Can get em for a fiver . Plus a fancy mist bottle like Richard said and possibly a humidifier if your building is very dry

As a broke college student with a creative streak, I decided to start a simple t-shirt business. Here's my pipeline for success: Crafted Threads for the design bundle, Amazon for a budget-friendly heat press (or borrow one like I did!), and campus events for my marketplace. Now I’m selling witty shirts that are covering my coffee habit AND my textbooks. It’s been a game changer.

For the screen-printed mailers, what type of ink do you use?

Teachers LOVE a good t-shirt, and I realized I could turn that into a side gig. I used Crafted Threads for hilarious teacher-themed designs, grabbed a Cricut printer off Amazon, and started selling them to colleagues. It began as a joke, but now I’m selling to teachers across the district and even funding classroom supplies with the profits. If you're in education, this is a fantastic side hustle!

After becoming a parent, I wanted something creative and flexible to do during nap time. I started with a Crafted Threads design bundle, ordered a Cricut from Amazon, and made parent-themed shirts just for fun. Turns out, other parents LOVE custom t-shirts! Selling them at community meet-ups has been an amazing way to connect with others and make some extra money on the side. Highly recommend this setup!

Couple of questions. What emulsion remover are you using? How long are you leaving screens in dip tank?

I appreciate your video. So detailed and informative! I have a question about printing rich black. My Canon Pixma Pro 100 is a photo ink jet printer. I followed your instructions except for using the rip software and the blacks aren't as solid as they need to be. Should I invest in a printer dedicated for graphics? Thank you.

Hey Jessie do you still use accurip currently today in 2024? I heard accurip isn’t as good now and not worth it because it’s subscription based. Have you ever used any other rips like filmmaker v10?

Hi Chessie, What size is your go to Pallets on your Kruzer press. I'm setup in the most smallest space ever with this Kruzer and 16"x22" pallets, you'd laugh if you could see me. To gain a bit more room I'm thinking of getting 16"x18" pallets if available and can't see this restricting me to much or will it, what do you think? Thanks for your help. Regards Gerry

We are done a screen printing using discharge ink but the colour is faded away within 6-7 hours , how can we over come this problem
@squeegeeandink2 ай бұрын
Hey, Yes it's so difficult - forced hot air is the real solution. Air dried and then heat pressed is also an option. You need to let the moisture out and then fuse the pigment to the fabric in two stages. Drive out the moisture is step one and heat up to 165 degrees for a couple of minutes is step two.

I've found that for screen printing on cardboard boxes or paper the best option is just plain old acrylic. You can get a large jug of "student grade" stuff for very cheap, I think I paid about $10 for a liter. Comes on any color, available at art stores and dollar stores. You don't need to buy the premium for this purpose.
@squeegeeandink2 ай бұрын
Yes I used to use the acrylic too - maybe with a tiny bit of medium.
