Playing this in the background while watching the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala "Iron Maiden" Harris and Former President Donald J. Trump. The abortion issue is the main thing in this country right now, as soon as the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and the sudden departure of another Justice, Roe V Wade was overturned immediately by the Justices!

I prefer the rudimental drum technique to the current jazzed up style. I love the drum line precision and the fife Melodie’s.

Sir if ur the guy with the blonde hair, you and the group are cool af. Ive been looking for this video for a long time. This and other fife and drum videos used to warm me up in a tough time I was going though, like five years or so ago. Love from Brazil.

My 4th great grandfather, Caleb Haskell, marched out of Newburyport, Massachusetts (Essex County) on April 19th, 1775 as a twenty year old fifer in Captain Moses Nowell's company of militia. They were recalled after a few days due to a panic and fear of an amphibious assault by the British (Benjamin Greenleaf, of the local Committee of Safety, wrote to General Artemas Ward, asking for their return), but instead of staying with Nowell in the garrison on Plum Island, he joined Captain Ezra Lunt's company in early May (on his birthday) and marched back to Cambridge. Lunt's company joined other companies as part of Colonel Moses Little's Regiment. Little's Regiment was deployed along the line at Bunker Hill and I have read that Lunt's company formed part of the rear guard after the redoubt fell. In September Caleb signed up with Captain Samuel Ward's company of Lt. Col. Christopher Green's battalion to go to Quebec with Colonel Arnold. At that point he is listed as a private in the rolls and no longer a fifer.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I assuming that this was a part of Richard's recital and that, if he was a regular member of the group, he was not in uniform because he was presenting an NEC Music recital.

Well done ! So many of the military bands have incorporated DCI style drumming and flourish. I know 50 years ago we didn’t play like that and surely they didn’t 250 years ago. we used old style snare not the high tension that many use today. For me it is a distraction. It is refreshing to see that you are preserving the correct look and sound of our historical past.

What ever happened to Rich Chwastiak. He is a phenomenal musician, I have enjoyed every video he was part of. Such varied talent. I hope he is well and enjoying life and hope he comes back with more videos. Hopefully the rude people on this site didn't drive him away.
