What size was the scrap paper you used as an insert?
@nutzaboutstamping3 сағат бұрын
Try 3 1/4" x 5". You may want to make it a bit shorter, depending on how much you want to see at the top.

I love shabby chic design cards and junk journals. This is one of the most beautiful patterns of DSP. I don’t know if I have it or not but I’m checking it out.

Hi Diana, I do show the inside at the end of the video. Have a look!
@angrosvenor29678 күн бұрын
@@nutzaboutstamping I was thinking that adding that lining to the inside of the front cover would leave it disproportionately heavy, so I think it would be nice to line the back of the back cover with a panel of your less bold patterned paper.

Great idea, will have to try this method. Question, would it have been easier to do your fault on a panel, then when complete adhere that to your card base?
@nutzaboutstamping11 күн бұрын
You could do it on a panel yes. Some crafters may choose designer paper and not want to cover the inside which is why I taught it that way.

Lovely card. Thank you for sharing your talent❤. I would like the non-metric measurements. Thank you so much!
@c.r.mcleod895913 күн бұрын
2 cm is 1 3/4" and half a centimetre is 1/4" 🙂 2.54cm = 1 inch. Hope that helps, I live in a metric Country, but 99% of my crafting is done in Imperial, I can convert most commonly used measurements.

Hi Janet, would you please send your request to: [email protected] and I will email you back with a PDF. Thanks!

Watched again, now on my desk top. I wrote down the measurements to recreate your fun card. I'm making it for my Stampin' Buddy, we usually meet on Wednesdays - but this Wednesday I have appointments at the Erasmus University Hospital that will take up all morning, after which I'll be exhausted. Hence a card! I will have to stamp my own DSP. My friend says: "It's called STAMPIN' Up", not paper gluing up! I disagree, but hey
@nutzaboutstamping13 күн бұрын
LOL I love the idea of stamping your own DSP. You can choose your colors and stamps to create the perfect match.

Beautiful card and great verbal instructions. You have a new subscriber, too. I'll be emailing you for the non-metric measurements. I've tried, but have never been successful in wrapping my head around metric measurements. I know it's supposed to be easier, so I'll just consider myself a failure in that area. Thanks for the great idea. I love a shabby, mixed technique card, especially one where I can use scraps which is one of the things I'm going to try to tame this year.🥴

Happy to email you the Imperial measurements Lucy. No problem!
@angrosvenor29678 күн бұрын
Hee hee, I am metric all the way, due to living in NZ and being a scientist, too (we do love our delightful metric system!). Yet in my crafting I have given up in the face of all these videos and pieces of equipment and have learned to love the inch.

I definitely want to try this, I like how you layered the die-cut branch on front, very neat technique, Thanks for the inspiration
@nutzaboutstamping13 күн бұрын
Thanks so much! As I said I would likely make the branch a different color - more of a contrast but overall I like my first attempt!
@angrosvenor29678 күн бұрын
@@nutzaboutstamping Yes, I thought it was clever of you to add a strip of double-sided tape before you die cut the branch. I usually forget entirely about that, and just carefully tap on my Tombow glue (it is my favourite, too). But if I remember, I have been sticking panel double sided tape to the back of the whole piece to be die cut. And I am quite precious about using that, since I have little of it in my stash. I am going to adopt this idea of yours.
