I don't know Kaiox, but by looking at the graphics and huds, it is more likely a mod/upgrade of the old Crossfire (2007) using the Lithtech Jupiter EX engine published by Smilegate. But I haven't checked the engine used in this release back when I tested, if it is they're using the same engine. I only downloaded it for my kid. I'm too old for this he he. But i know how to tweak game stuffs as a hobby. It plays similar to CS but not a modded CS using Source engine. A lot of things happened back then, so logic tells me that they either removed the Crossfire West online feature to create an offline "room" with bots to play with, as well as adding all the extras unlocked with their own graphic design. As you can see, you still need to login - more like an emulator of the original! For source code, there is an open-source project but for server side only, not the client. It's more likely the one used here to bypass the online service. Visit Kaiox discord channel and Ragezone forum to know more and verify what I said if you are interested. From this possible facts, I would say this is the real Crossfire West in offline mode. The gameplay and feel is the same online. I just tested for comparison.
