So ive been a great sword main for all 20 years of mh and have naybe 2k hours in hirn, would consider myself descent-good but this is a great example of how high the skill ceiling in monster hunter really is! Motivated me to start a new world playthrough and grab the horn and see how good it was and damn was i suprised. I skippd using it in world and sunbreak tilll my second pkaythrough which i put a good700 hours in but sunbreak felt very arcady to me. It had some nice inpeovements but wilds horn looks so peak feom what ive seen! Keep up the good work man! ❤

@@BruteShot-od2wz bring flinch free. Every weapon can flinch u, not just the long sword. They just get blamed more cause of the weapons long reach, but flinching isn’t unique to the longsword. There are weapons that can launch u into the air and thats worse, and cannot be blocked by any level of flinch free.

@@torpedosoup lol I know it comes down to the player, but 90% of the time its the LS who goes for the head and gets in the hammer’s way, or just doesnt understand what sleeping the monster is, my dislike for them is long into mh4u when I started playing with randoms, just a trend I’ve noticed with them really not helping in teams

@torpedosoup I have bothing against you or your video, it's well researched. But i never found that AI voices have merit. Mainly because they are often used for malicious shorts spreading false info, and thus gotten bad reputation. I do think you deserve to be a bigger and better KZbinr if you just put in that bit of extra work.

@@SilverTwinkle I know, its not that I'm mad at u or something. I'm simply stating that if voice option is a huge priority for you, you should watch those you enjoy to. I'm not really here to sell myself as a content creator like them, my priority is to get the knowledge across to people who are looking to learn something. Besides, there are a lot of complications behind the scenes that affect this voicing decision.

About the AI voice, usually for these guides i spend a lot of time writing a script that works properly in chapters to ensure all info are included in a coherent way. I personally have a lot of trouble reading directly from a script without screwing up. It has been tried before.

As a new player, I am still divided, between SnS and Switch Axe. But the more I play it, the more I am gravitating towards the Swaxe. I have one character played entirely with SnS, where I am currently stuck at Barioth and a second char with SA, where I have to fight Nergigante next.

@@angriboi its good to try out all the weapons and see which one suits you. Could be multiple types too. I understand that you might want to experience your first encounters with different monsters using different weapons, but generally u dont need to make a new character, just make all the weapons with 1 character

It's a support weapon because your team can eat while you kill the monster, and if they're lucky, maybe even hear our song.

Great great guide mate, appreciated. I'm a returning hunter, after like 5 years of break. Heard about Wilds is gonna release soon so I wanted to get back into shape and clear that Iceborne dlc which I havent before. I loved Longsword and was decent with it but I'm so rusty, needed to remember what's up and this video explains everything perfectly, thank you.

Cool guide dude! I only played worlds when it first came out but I didnt play much of ib. I am picking it up now because I am really hyped for wilds. I am picking up lance because I liked it in rise but I can tell there are some differences. I really enjoy the counter thrust playstyle though!

Honestly, your guides are the best to start a weapon out. A lot of people spend very little time on basics, but you focusing on that really helps someone properly understand the core of a weapon's kit. I always recommend these to my friends!
