Hi, I've just had a NEIPA from Sureshot called Favourite Service Station. 6%ABV, Citra BBC, Idaho 7 T90 & Galaxy T90. Absolutely fantastic beer, give it a go and review it.

Now I'm drinking a DDH IPA, again from Sureshot, called Curse Of The Weggy Board. 6.5%ABV, with Nelson Sauvin, Citra BBC and Eggers Special? Another cracking beer, Sureshot is a fabulous brewery.

I wouldn't include Northern Monk as a top brewer(despite living in Leeds) whereas Verdant is undoubtedly top 3. Their DIPA called My Second Rodeo is astonishingly good. 👍

@RockersBeerReview there were three releases of staff picks and that was one. However one of the others at 4.9% called vanity metrics (single hop i think) was out of this world. I don't normally get beers below 6% but this had all of the flavour of a great 6.5 abv. Well worth checking them both out.

Didn’t rate this one at all, surprised it wasn’t on the 4 for 3 deal, this will be scrapped from Mozzas in the very near future I reckon. It’s very very plain, not much flavour. Bought it once and it was the last time. Noticed Cannonball from Magic Rock was back on the shelves and only £3.25, pretty much the same beer it was a few years ago.

Cloudy with a light yellow color and white foam that falls quickly. Sweet tropical fruits dominate, with mango, pineapple and passion fruit at the forefront. In the background, yellow melon, lychee, peaches. You can feel pink grapefruit, orange, herbs and grass. Saturation in the lower regions, little bitterness. Gives the impression of being lighter than it is, alcohol well hidden, a dangerous beer.
@AleDegustation28 күн бұрын
Cloudy yellow, tropical fruit aroma with a touch of citrus, full body but giving a lighter impression, light malt, tropical fruit, mango, nectarine, passion fruit, complex flavors, some spice on the finish. Alcohol nicely hidden. Incredibly drinkable and refreshing beer.

Cloudy with a golden color. White, abundant foam, falls slowly. From the very beginning a lot of resin, cones and citrus. Light fruits, rather stone fruit, some grapefruit and lime, in the background as if sweet pineapple and leaves, grass and herbs. Medium bitterness, resinous, low carbonation.
@AleDegustation29 күн бұрын
Cloudy with a pale yellow color and white foam that falls quite quickly. The aroma and taste are dominated by citrus notes, a bit of lemon zest, white stone fruit with an emphasis on apricots and peaches. In the background grass, lemon grass, wheat graininess. Low carbonation, moderate bitterness, diffuse flavors. Average.
@AleDegustationАй бұрын
The aroma is full of exotic fruits with dominant mango, lots of floral and citrus notes. Light yellow, milky colour, medium foam. Thin body, washed out flavours, a bit of malt graininess. Light bitterness in the style of grapefruit albido. Overall, drinkable but disappointing.

Hoppy beers like this just have to be kept cold at all times. People really don't understand how important temperature is for this style of beer. Hoppy Pale Ales or IPAs or DIPAs that are kept on unrefrigerated supermarket shelves will be completely ruined within days .They HAVE to be kept cold!

I’m going to include Dark Matter in my list. Here is how I rank them. 12 - Lightning Bolt - Sorry guys, outside of “Sirens” and “Mind Your Manners” I can’t listen to this album. It sounds like a side project gone wrong to my ears. I respect where the band were coming from and what they were trying to do, it didn’t work for me. Even the two songs I listed, I skip if it comes up in my playlist. 11 - Avocado - Had some good tracks on it, but again in my mind as a PJ fan from Ten, this album was very weak. “World Wide Suicide”, and “Life Wasted” on it and that’s about where it stops for me. 10 - Binaural - Sorry this album did not do it for me. After Yield, this album only having “Nothing As It Seems” “Insignificance” and “Light Years” on it, isn’t enough for me to rank it any higher. Didn’t rate this one at all. 09- Riot Act - In terms of song writing, “Love Boat Captain”, “I Am Mine” “Save You”, “Ghost” and “Get Right” are exceptional songs and deserve another listen. There’s elements of the first 3 albums on here, and for that reason it gets a higher ranking for me. 08 - Gigatron- A hard one to place, but it’s an album I’ve come to enjoy with more listens. “Dance Of The Clairvoyance” “Superblood Wolfmoon”, “ are new Pearl Jam, but Quick Escape”, “Take The Long Way”, “Seven O’Clock” and “Never Destination” are rocking tracks. Even the ballads on the album work. 07 - Yield - Took me a minute to put this one here. I love this album. However, I think it’s my love for “Do The Evolution” which made me ask myself, “does it deserve to really be higher?” As an honest answer, it’s no. “Wishlist” and “Given To Fly” are 2 of my favourite Pearl Jam songs of all time, alongside Evolution, while “Low Light” “Faithful” and “All Those Yesterdays” are great songs, but to rank this album higher, wouldn’t do the others justice. Sorry Yield, but you have to have number seven. No 06 - No Code - This is an album that old school Pearl Jam fans absolutely hated upon its release. I’ll admit, I was one of them. Sure I liked “Hail Hail” and “Smile” but that’s where it stopped for me. Now I’m going to show you all how much of a fan of this band I truly was and am. At the time No Code was released, one year prior PJ released the EP MerkinBall which contained two cracking songs in “I Got ID” and “Long Road”. In that same year, they dropped a cover of “Leaving Here” for the Home Alive compilation. “Yellow Leadbetter” hadn’t dropped on any Pearl Jam albums at this time and it was still a B Side to “Jeremy”. “Black, Red, Yellow” was a B Side to “Hail Hail”. “Last Kiss” was a Christmas single for the fans. “Wash” was a B Side to “Alive” and was still unreleased. The band were also playing at the time two other songs which weren’t released. “Don’t Gimme No Lip” by Stone Gossard and “All Night”. So when No Code turned up, with none of these songs on it, it was disappointing. At the time a lot of the songs felt like filler, when you could only get your hands on these other great tracks through compilations or Napster Bootlegs. But now, all these years later I have an appreciation for “No Code” as I felt let down by the later albums. “Who You Are” has grown on me, “Lukin” is a fast paced anthem, “Mankind” is a song of the times which has grunge written all over it, “Present Tense”, “Red Mosquito”, and “Off He Goes” are all solid tunes. So yeah, has to be up higher. 05- BackSpacer - The album that got me back into Pearl Jam. It took them 9 years and 3 let’s be honest ordinary albums to give us something we wanted and damn did they find it on this album. “The End” in my mind is up there with album closers like “Release” and “Indifference” from earlier albums. Opening the album with “Gonna See You My Friend” with the rocking sounds and Eddie going above and beyond, to “Got Some”, “The Fixer”, “Just Breathe”, “Amongst The Waves”, “Unthought Known”, “SuperSonic”, “Force Of Nature”… “Speed Of Sound”… there’s not a bad song on here. This album restored my faith in Pearl Jam. Those of you who ranked it lower, honestly whack it on again. 04 - Dark Matter - Not since the 90s has Pearl Jam sounded so good! This is a massive return to form for the band who ditched all the studio stuff and just released a raw album. Everything bangs on this. From the ballads of “Waiting For Stevie”, “Won’t Tell”, “Got To Give”, “Wreckage” and “Setting Sun” to the title track “Dark Matter” “Scared Of Fear”, “React Respond”, “Running”, and even “Something Special” is a great song along tune. This is a band on top of their game. In fact, Dark Matter is my Album of 2024! No 03 - So many awesome tunes. “Last Exit”, “Spin The Black Circle”, “Not For You”, “Tremor Christ”, “Nothing Man”, “Corduroy”, “Satan’s Bed”, “BetterMan”, and “Immortality” I mean come on! The only tunes on here I skip is “”Aye Davanita” and Bugs”. Lol! No 02 - VS - Not just a masterpiece from Pearl Jam, but a musical master piece! It’s bloody hard to seperate VS and Ten. This album is a cracker from start to finish. However, Ten gets VS just. No 01 - Ten - How many people sing “Black” at the top of their lungs? “Release”? Think about getting bullied at school with “Jeremy”. Wanting to stay out with your mates with “Why Go?” Singing “Porch”, “Deep”, “Alive”? “Even Flow” and “Garden” at the top of your lungs? Skipping 41 seconds of the intro of “Once” so you can rock out? Thinking about diving into rock caves with “Oceans?” or perhaps even going on a holiday with that song playing? Ten is the soundtrack to our life! Thank you Pearl Jam.
