@Gregd163 ай бұрын
So I’ve learned a little bit in my mining journey. A couple comments talked about issues connecting smaller miners to specific pools… unlike the LV06, this LV07 has a “password” option. If you have difficulty connecting this miner to a pool, in the password block enter “d=1000” to set the difficulty level for the pool to better communicate with the miner. Yes some pools still do not allow connections with a difficulty of “only” 1000, but it does work. As an example, CoinMinerz it works perfectly when that is entered into the password block. HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Hello Greg, I got the exact Lucky Miner LV07 as you, same colour as well. Arrived 2 days ago but I ordered from AliExpress on the 20th June! Didn't realise it was a pre-sale item when I ordered it. The wattage shown for the device compared to the wattage at the meter (the wall socket) will always be different. Modern day PSUs are between 80 and 95% efficient in converting AC into DC (actually even DC to DC conversions as well). Those losses are mostly in wasted energy in the form of heat. In your case 17.4w (miner) divided by 21.7w (wall socket) X 100 = 80.18% efficient. So around 4.3 watts wasted energy for your example...

One odd thing I found was after you reduce the hearing amplification if you receive a call on Bluetooth it reverts to max amplification again. So you have to reduce it again. IMHO the sound amplification could be toned down a bit
@evanstephens22037 ай бұрын
Do these simply cut audio when the sound gets above a certain level or do they continue to give you situational awareness by lowering the volume of the loud sounds it lets through? I’m trying to find a good set of electronic ear buds for construction where nail guns and hammers require ear protection that triggers fast enough for gun shots, but also does well with sustained noise form hammer drills etc while also allowing me to communicate with those around me. For such a critical piece of PPE there is a surprising lack of detailed info on higher end products so reviews like this are very helpful.
@Gregd167 ай бұрын
These (and pretty much all hearing protection I am aware of) protect your hearing by, as you put it, “cutting audio”. When the noises get above a certain Db, they’ll basically turn off the “pass through” or “transparency”. IMO, the Axil XCOR are the best of these three options in hearing protect for things like nail guns and other instantly loud noises. I wear them at the gun range as my primary hearing protection daily as my primary… They return to “transparency” VERY quickly, but during the loud noise, basically can’t hear anything…
@Gregd167 ай бұрын
Hope that helps! And yes I agree, there are very little studies/reviews on things like this. Eventually, when I can afford them, there are some other higher-end ear-pros I want to at least try. (Also, for the XCOR, I am using the foam tips that Axil had on their website advertised for the Extreme 2.0. Called the something Max, I think. Very good!)
@IndiaEight58 ай бұрын
So which one would you choose out of the 3 for range?
@Gregd168 ай бұрын
By far, the XCOR, still using them
@rickbruceroche20389 ай бұрын
When asking about how they work at the range, there’s a big difference between an open and a covered range. The one I go to is covered. My current earbuds are AXIL, but they are 5-7 years old. I contacted AXIL on their new ones as mine, when undercover, would give me a headache (from sound reflection off the overhead cover) after about 45 minutes. They told me that their new ones are NOT as good as what I have.

I recently picked up the Walker's Disruptors. Maybe I got a bad pair, but they were almost useless at the range. Having them set to Max Protection killed my ability to hear normal sounds while only BARELY protecting from gunshots. For reference, I have an older set of 3M TEP-100's that work great at that same range. I'll be reaching out to Walker's to see if mine are defective, but as they are now... I'd call them actually Dangerous in loud environments.
