One thing is the outright full blown, otherworldly, superhuman and unmatched solos that Paul Franklin offers on the many versions of this song here on KZbin, another is the priceless expressions he's always able to bring to the faces of his co-musicians on stage.

LOVE Vince @ Amy Gill. I read the two of there biographies, so glad they both divorced, as both were in wrong marriages at the time. So happy they found each other again. They are my favourite couple who are both so much in LOVE. ELIZABETH SCOTLAND XXXX

Paul Franklin is fabulous, but the original steel solo by the late, incomparable, Steel Guitar Hall of Fame member, Tom Brumley, is highly considered by most steel connoisseurs as the single best steel guitar solo in country music history. You can hear it in live performance on KZbin Buck Owens Ranch Show.

The roots of songs about death/resurrection in country music come from southern church hymns. Can't have one without the other
