@dmusumeci3 күн бұрын
I was looking to brighten up this guitar. I have the Mules in my Knaggs Steve Stevens and love them, but I knew the WIZZ Duane Allman's low output would definitely brighten this guitar up. I really like WIZZ pickups. They are the closest to the real PAF pickups I have played and owned... in my opinion.

Maybe it's the small amp I used. The guitars are not wired out of phase. It would only be out of phase on the middle position anyway. Thanks for the comment.

@dmusumeci I meant how it was mic'd or recorded..... something is out of phase and notched sounding. There are 50 ways that guitars can end up out of phase besides the guitar being wired incorrectly.

It should also be noted that they could be made to sound even closer with some minor tweaking of your eq and other factors. It is why "head to head, same settings" comparisons don't tell the whole story.

Really cool! I have an SLO30 also, I understand the struggle. Could you explain more how you wired this in to the effects loop? Do you just run out of the effects loop into the Dream 65, then back to the SLO poweramp? If so, wouldn't the already pretty dirty sound coming from the Crunch of the SLO be going into the dream 65 (not to mention that it is now line level). Or are you splitting your signal before both preamps, then in the SLO loop you are combining the signals back (either from Dream65 or the preamp part of the SLO?)
@dmusumeci24 күн бұрын
4 cable method - See link below. This diagram shows the signal flow when the UAFX amp pedal is bypassed. Note that your signal passes through the pedal with no pedal amp tone, and into the main input on your real amplifier. Any effects placed before your amplifier’s effects loop return are heard. help.uaudio.com/hc/article_attachments/14639354791316

@@GuitarG123 I use P-90’s live quite often with no issue. I don’t play with a tone of gain and cut the volume after each song. They are my favorite pickup, but you have to be very aware of using your volume as a buzz kill between songs.

They both sounded great! How does the 518 feel to play compared to the junior in your experience? In the room does the 518 sound overly boxy and small compared to the junior? What is the perceived volume differences between both amps played clean and cranked? I have the same Pro junior, but any other personal thoughts you have about the 518 would be appreciated. I'm looking at getting a 518 or possibly the 5112 not sure which yet, but leaning towards the 518. Would you prefer the 12" now...or do you think the 8" is perfect for home use? Thanks for sharing this video...and I did subscribe.

@@michaelwhitehouse5659 the pro Junior actually gives you more of a Marshall 18 W vibe. Whereas the 518 give you that classic fender champ. A little looser and not quite as high gain. They both are excellent. I really do enjoy the pro Junior though.
