Andy meticulously addressing those people who have associated him with a problematic person is another reason why I like his attitude so much. Just because someone is working with somebody else on some capacity does not mean they share the same worldviews. A great interview!

Hello Johnny! I just wanted to write and ask if you would consider having Wellin back on your podcast, a year or so later (whether you guys are touring together or not, if you can find the time) to see what his take is, now, after a year of miles under his belt. Like what would he do the same/different, is he still excited about the project, and to give us his perspective and insight to his own, and Kim's creativity (and, how the road has changed that, if any?), He just seems to be such an interesting, intelligent, and articulate dude, and since they are one of the few 'new' bands actually doin' it(and killing it), it would be interesting to see how they have evolved. Your original interview with Wellin is actually what turned me on to Kim D in the first place. I'd heard them once or twice, then saw your interview, searched them out, and am now a huge fan. They are one of the best new bands to hit the bricks since you guys. LOL Thank you for that, your consideration, and all that you do, and I wish you the best.

I saw arin at the HTTK album release party at the palladium. He was great. I just think brooks is everything the rev was- and would have wanted the band to be.

Andy is right: Andy's changed in many good ways after his "Andy Sixx" days, and his guitarists have become very impressive from a technical standpoint, but their music still does kinda blow. BvB went from doing derivative anthem metalcore aimed at 10 year old wannabes appropriating the scene to making "omg epic" stale repetitive movie trailer anthems for would-be tik tok tweens that predictably don't know what to grow into. He's cool though. I'm sure they're all great people now. but Sweeney Todd themed metalcore EP? That's exactly what you'd expect from them, and it makes my stomach turn. While A7x is riding 10 different genres and writing veiled lyrics about the inherently corrupt genuine ancient yahwist paradigm, these dudes are always on some "I want to make a super dark Teen Titans Raven rated R metalcore record" bullshit. I'm fairly sure that when this dude talks about being Misfits and Kiss, he's talking about Michael Graves Misfits too. Michael Graves Misfits is exactly the type of insipid, thoughtless derivative music that BvB embodies in juxtaposition to what everyone like me actually wants to hear, which is Danzig Misfits. But to the BvB fan, Michael Graves Misfits sounds the same but newer or better.

I don’t think you watched the interview. Neither of them care. Go make some art yourself and spread positivity dude. That’s better than whatever this rant you have is

I like that it's popular again but I don't at the same time cause most people don't even truly get into the music entirely. Most don't appreciate it enough or even at all. They just hear some songs on tiktok and then claim to be a big fan. For example, with deftones, or the the sub genre in general.. I can't stand seeing the kids that bullied me badly in middle school claim to be alternative now or a big metalhead just to find out a lot of them don't truly know anything about it, just the one song on tiktok. Sorry for sounding bitter but it's the truth and it's so frustrating cause I went through so much shit and if it wasn't popular again, they wouldn't even go near the music or syle of clothing.

Honestly I still shed a tear or more about Jimmy, like I never got the chance to meet him or see the band when he was still here but I remember being 14 it was the 29th of December 2009 (I think it’d been a day since he passing but news was still kind of slow back then) and I just started bawling my eyes out and I only found out when I was watching Amor Hilton live on stickam (long before the TikTok, instagram live era 😅, she was a scene queen on MySpace probably one of the most well known ones of that time period) but I remember that she mentioned it and how sad she was about his passing and then I went to start scrolling through MySpace seeing bulletin posts and also other news articles online, I just couldn’t believe that he wasn’t with us anymore. So incredibly young. 😢 I’m 29 now and it still tears me up… And it’s so strange how life works because I too lost my best friend back in 2022 when he and I were both 27. We actually met fresh into college and we bonded over the 27 club (bc Amy Winehouse had died a couple of months prior to our college courses)… Very strange but I don’t think I’ll ever not feel hollow and truly gutted to the core whenever I think of him and no longer having his presence on earth. Life is fking weird, some good, some really awfully terrible, but we have to keep moving. Shit just sucks when I stand here and think too much. But I had to give my two cents as I remember his death being so tragic and painful even as a teenager. ❤ RIP Jimmy The Rev! And also to my late best friend Andrew. ❤ (Sorry for me waffling on 😅 but it just feels nice to let it out into the world even if it’s by words on a screen, I don’t have many people to talk to about it- Aaaand if anyone made it this far into my comment, I hope and wish for you have a blessed life! Truly. Never take each day for granted. I’m glad you’re here! Keep on keeping on. 🎉❤😊)
