Not sure who is driving who harder, Trey or Mike? Either way, Mike is laying down the one of the nastiest, most melodic, non stop bass lines ever. The 10 secs from 7:27-7:37 is the craziest syncopated rhythm change and then he just rips right back into the groove with Trey.

Simply...one of the best jams of 3.0...for any song...simple interplay...a thematic idea expressed to its fullest....Phish at their best....perhaps a tad underrated...you dont need to play a 27 minute Ghost for it to soar...BRAVO

They start off the year playing for their elders, Genesis, and finish off the year with an epic NYE party. Kind of Abacab-esque tease @ 4:10-4:30. This Ghost repeats in my head for days after I listen. Lots of their stuff does that for me. And jk51287, thanks for posting and letting all us flowers drink from the HOSE again and again and again...

flyer5342 is right about 11/17/97. This is one of my favorite Ghosts, but come on man: what does "tied for best performance of any phish song" even mean? And how can something "possibly" be the best ever if there is "no doubt"? Opinions are not objective facts.

i love the versions where trey is singing really well. it compliments fishes voice nicely and makes for a quiveringly awesome sound. it would also be pretty cool to sit behind stage, you'd like get their perspective on the show.
