There's no reason to quit entirely, literally anything that can become an addiction. Video games themselves are not an inherently harmful thing, but if you let it take over your life it can be.

i have a lot of great childhood memories from videogames. Its a great way to connect with friends, videogames do help children improbe certain criticial thinking skills. There's nothing wrong with it in moderation. I think some video games are garbage brainrot, but some like fallout, red dead redemption, skyrim, mass effect etc have amazing stories. Everything in life is about balance, too much of anything is bad. Im glad you though are getting your life together and improved.

you dont necesarily have to quit playing, just dont play as much

this is something that annoys me with a lot of these people, those who quit alcohol, games, social media, or whatever. These things are great in moderation.

I play games for the story, infinite game loop is a scam and a waste of time, you gain nothing, 2 hours of gaming is enough for me becau i feel exhausted from the extensive cinematic experience i gain from the games I play.
@anusaukko679219 күн бұрын
Complete opposite here, the story has to be some sort of narrative masterpiece for me to consider spending money on something with a limit of playtime. If the story isn't the greatest thing I've read in my life, and it won't give me 10 hours per euro spent, I'm not buying.

@@anusaukko6792 except it does for me, half life, portal, bioshock, all of it was worth every penny to me, and those games actually cost pennies during sale anyway

For me my problem app is TikTok, I never had Instagram or Facebook, you know the main apps most people use, but I do use Snapchat from time to time. The amount of time people waste scrolling on TikTok is insane. Everyone is obsessing over others lives and that’s all teens are concerned about. There’s a feature on the app where you can see your friends repost and recently every time I’m on that app my friends repost 100s of videos every couple hours and all I can sit back and think is how much time they’re wasting. School is about to start and I will be busy with a lot of things so I chose to delete it and work on things I want to achieve as well as get into college.

I’ve learned a lot about culture in music by not listening to Main Street in Music and mainstream news or anything I’m just really learning about the world for not listening to the main stream media so there’s a lot of great things on KZbin and social media

I would be interested in your point of view if you included any scientific research or papers to back your claims, since in this video you can only really speak on your own personal experience. After doing lots of my own research I am confident that morning routines are not unproductive, and for the majority of people starting your day off with a science backed morning routine is much more effective and productive in the long run then simply “waking up and getting to work”.

This video came up in my recommended and it's cool that it did. You seem to have a sense exchanging money for happiness in the respect of experiences within. I think another perspective you can have on the value of your money is how much time or how many hours you worked to have obtained a said $ amount. Another good thing about spending more money too is your cash is being flowed into the economy so therefore businesses will thrive and keep things such as gas and food affordable (unfortunately we're heading in the wrong direction there but your contribution helps). The word money is not a physical thing- but a construct. And it is not seen from just one perspective which makes the world go round.
