I'm new on your channel. I love SA and especially driving in the different cities, it helps to understand the atmosphere of your country. Thank you for sharing! By the way, what languages are spoken the most in Johannesburg and which of these do you speak?
@drivingsouthafrica Жыл бұрын
Great to know and thanks for subscribing to the channel, I'll be making more videos so be ready for more content😇. There are 11 official languages in SA, and in Johannesburg the most spoken languages are English and Isizulu. Personally I do speak literally all languages in SA except for Afrikaans which I'm only learning now.
@mikhailkapustin8464 Жыл бұрын
Can't imagine that you use all of 11 languages! It deserves respect, I can't even speak English fluently which is the only one language I use except for my native language

I just came across your channel and I love this type of content. I am Kenyan 🇰🇪 and I remember travelling to SouthAfrica when I was 9 years old and I really loved and enjoyed the experience. We were based in pretoria for the duration of our visit. I remember travelling to Venda. The experience was so out of this world. From picturesque views, beautiful roads, mountain tunnel roads. Wow. You guys have got a very beautiful country right there 👌🏿. I can't wait to visit again 🙏🏿.
@drivingsouthafrica2 жыл бұрын
Awesome, I'm glad you loved this beautiful country of ours, I was actually at Nairobi(layover) last year on my way to Zanzibar and i really loved Nairobi. It's equally beautiful and really fast coming in terms of infrastructure development and now that the visa requirement has been scrapped out for Kenyans wanting to come to South Africa there should be more traffic between the two countries.

I got hijacked on a Eskom project in winterveld section, got shoot at ( still have bullet in radio at home) chased them, rammed them off road with another vehicle and got my one back still full of new liveline equipment but both vehicles severly damaged. Wild west, friends had cellphones stolen numerous times, at least.in those years they didn't just kill for a phone or vehicle like today.

Josie.... been 3 years since I've been there. Only thing I miss in Josie is the people, family and friends. Joburg has become a shit show. Potholes everywhere... crime EVERYWHERE... nothing works. It's sad. Yo... try driving the Florida area.
@drivingsouthafrica2 жыл бұрын
Sadly I have to agree with you, unfortunately Joburg and many other cities and towns aren't doing so well on recent years. Hopefully it's greatness can be realized again some day. *Will definetly do Florida soon👍

I live in Berlin, and i noticed a big differnce to Pretoria. In Pretoria, the are is so much less trees and plants in the street. Only grey concrete wherever you look.
@drivingsouthafrica2 жыл бұрын
That's accurate!!!
@jasonjumat50702 жыл бұрын
That's because South-Africa's suburbs and city proper is seperate. Pretoria actually have more trees than Berlin.
