The ending on this is so cute!! So fun to see Honokohau, haven't been out there in years. The kids used to take Hula out there and we would always go swimming and hang on the beach after. So fun to see you so happy, so glad you stayed. You have some great decks there!! I love that painted wild unknown so much!! It is so cool! I want so many of the decks coming out you listed. I am just going to have to get rid of some decks to make room for the new ones. My collection is as big as I ever want it to be. Actually, I might enjoy having a little less overall. I would do a Sibilla study with you, would love to learn more. Are you taking Kelly's charm casting class next weekend? New projects sound fun, I will ponder when I am less sick. I am barely well enough to watch videos today. Your beach scenes made me feel better and made me happy!!

I'm so glad it cheered you up. It was such a great day... did you watch the Lions game?? What a great show. I just copied the meanings off the Sibilla cards and jumped in. It's just like everything playing card based - it gets easier the more you play with it. I am so happy I made Anna an offer, I have always had it in my mind to paint one of my TWUs - I just never got around to it. Let me know when you are ready to let some stuff go, I can help! 🤪

So many decks to look forward to! I also want the Bloody Hell edition of secret pocket oracle. I have the original edition and it’s one of my favorites. I finally ordered the New Wave Tarot last week! Can’t wait for it to arrive! Oh, and btw: I finally watched Hereditary last night, all alone, and I only got spooked by imaginary peripheral movement in my house a couple of times 😂 But dude…. Whaaaaat??? So disturbing, so original, very well crafted, love Toni Collette. I gave my boyfriend the synopsis afterward and he shuddered lol

Not from where we are, I'm on the west side of the island. From my house in Puna, we used to see it pretty clearly. The day Kilauea erupted, I was up in Waimea (closer to the middle of the island), and we saw the smoke plumes, and on the way home, the sunset was incredible. Blood red sun... I didn't get any photos, but they're never as good as the real thing anyway.

@SecondThoughtsAboutTheMission okay, there's a little bit of tricky logistics involved because I am here in Hawaii, separated from my husband in Yakima. I will be getting a box mailed to me soon from my tarot room, so I will ask him to include it. We don't always get along, so sometimes he follows directions, and sometimes he acts like a 12 year old. 🙄 I get extra decks when I can for trading because I am always looking for oop decks. When I get my box, I will make a video and tag you. I am writing this down in my Benebell Planner. 😁

I keep getting residue on my hands when I shuffle my Smoke Ash Ember. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this. is this only my deck?? Instead of trying to fix the problem I just put it away and never use it, which actually makes me sad.
@tamipie12 күн бұрын
I wonder if it's something in the manufacturing process that left residue on the deck. Do you have any of the other Three Trees decks? I would suggest taking a clean washrag and wiping down each card on both sides. I would do this if I were using fanning powder, so it seems like the way to go. Let me know if that works. 🎄🎄🎄

I feel ya on pet peeve videos - I like watching them but (probably) won't make them myself. I feel like others articulate their peeves and anger better than I can, and I appreciate them for that! 😆 I love the reframing of showing OOP decks as "showing something you haven't seen before." In my earlier days of tarot collecting, I did feel so zealous about buying/collecting that I couldn't just appreciate decks that I couldn't have for myself. Years later though, now that I've got a great collection (and creative outlet) of my own, I can now separate watching-to-enjoy (and/or learn) vs. watching-to-buy. Loved hearing your response! 😀

Wowza, what an incredible haul! I recently bought Sasuraibito (secondhand) and am looking forward to exploring it. So much variety in the decks you got here, I'm sure you'll have a fun time going through them all 😀
@tamipie12 күн бұрын
The advantages to a little haul like this for me are not necessarily the norm... which is kinda my 'thing'. I wanted to try out some decks I definitely would not have bought new and thank goodness, because the Motherpeace Tarot (as it turns out) is definitely NOT my jam. There are also a couple decks that are fan favorites, I got to try, and I just don't like. So it's almost a try before you buy, I'm sure I can offload them fairly easily. The really wonderful thing is when you get a deck you never even thought about... and it turns out to be a banger. I thought Drowning World Tarot was the big treasure, and it is actually the Sustain Yourself Oracle that's my unexpected surprise. 🧐

I like these comparison videos. I am going to try the soaping this weekend, just need to find some soap. I am loving having the Tarot des Ambiguities, and always love the Triumph Della Luna. I love fun twists on the Marseille style. Never got the Tattoo Tarot Ink & Intuition cause I have the indie Eight coins. Fun to see it. I love the James Bond (Witches Tarot). Also the movies don't realize how dumb things will look years later. Just use the same deck!! Pick one. 🥰🥰 Love the ocean footage, a little bit of home in my day. Will be fun to hear about the tarot reader in town if you get to see her today.
@tamipie20 күн бұрын
I used to have the indie 8 coins! I got it with the little square Oracle they made to go with it, and for the longest time, that was the only tattoo deck I had. I got Ink & Intuition in the lot from Honey-Lou. Terrible cardstock and the cards are big. 8 coins definitely has more soul, and of course, that little size is so nice to play with. My favorite tattoo tarot art is Jamie Sawyer, hands down. She has both consistency and the spirit - and the tiles are just soooo satisfying to play with! Get a square soap! I am really happy that people are getting into that hack. I know, right? The movie thing? I did see the girl from Da Tarot Hut, but she was doing a reading, so I cruised around and got some stocking stuffers at the l little market.
@tarotgeektv20 күн бұрын
@@tamipie I need to go get some stocking stuffers. Better stuff there though. I like Jamie's tattoo art too. I love her tiles. I have Spirit Keepers, a rune tile set, and Hilda. @tarotgeektv And it's one of those things where you know she's not going to do it forever, and none of the other tiles are as nice (in my opinion) I am so familiar with SKT, that I don't mind it being tiny like that, but the felt/Barney tiles are definitely my favorite because the art makes them really clear. I’ve wanted to do this since Honey Lou first posted about it but I’ve always been too scared to 😅 I needed to see it done! Thank you so much for sharing! I do wonder, though, if Dorland’s wax would work? Or what about the soap makes this work? 🤔
@tamipie21 күн бұрын
I was just telling Laura that soap is basically fat with an alkaline fixer. A natural harder soap will leave a thinner layer, it breaks the friction of paper filaments wanting to hold hands.
@aquamarine1821 күн бұрын
Thank you for this demo! This is... less scary than I imagined it. Do you know what the main ingredient / base is in that soap, I wonder if that matters? I am not sure I'd be brave enough to try this. 😬

This is super cool. Thanks so much for showing us how to do it.😊 I will say it is a bit labor intensive. Have you ever tried fanning powder? I wonder if it works differently? Do you know how long it lasts, and is the deck just smoother forever?
@tamipie22 күн бұрын
Good questions. Yes, I have used fanning powder, and it is different, I almost put one of my TWU oracles in because I stretched it and used fanning powder. I was afraid it would take the video too far in the weeds. I think for certain decks, soap is better.
