This song has NO place in present day society, its a 1966 song about a man who tells his wife he will break her head if she does not bring him his booze. Ban the Babdo Song !! In the Goan Community it was "acceptable" for a man to beat his wife for no reason at all. Yes, Think about it - your Grandmothers were beaten on a regular basis. No one said anything, they just accepted that Violence against Women was " OK". If you think that its OK for your dad to beat your mum, your husband to beat you then continue to Support and play this song at your Goan functions. if you know this is a crime and not acceptable in present society then speak up and tell the Band, DJs and your Goan association commitee to ban this Song. It is currently banned by The Vancouver Goa association. Thank you - Help stop Violence against Women !!!! PS: the melody was pirated from a Western Hit song " Treat her Right ". By Roy Head Talk about opposite of Western Culture to the Goan culture of Beat her up !
