the M97 he era IV ... it's the minor sister of the shure v15 iv ... same sound of the v15 iv, but a little less accurate, very flat response, best sound with a tracking force of 1,25 grams +0.5 dynamic stabilizer...I'v got both of them , but sometimes I prefer the M97 with blues and rock music... on the other hand , the shure v15iv is my favourite with classical music , chamber music and great orchestra music , because it has more control and more accuracy of the sound than the m97 ...if you use both of them, anyway, you can play music 24 hours a day without being tired, and this is a sign of a very low distortion and clean sound... these are my definitive cartridges , after using DL160, DL103, XSV3000 , OM30, sumiko blue point...

@@LookAndListen_VintageCartridgeYes Sir, the imaging, micro details and sound stage is great. I ordered recently a What supposed to be a Stylus for a V-15 type III, it’s a VN35HE. In the little plastic box it says R-2248 DMR and Pham 764DMR , it’s made in the USA by Rivertone. The shaft is too wide and doesn’t fit in either my type III or type IV. What other Shure cartridges would have a wider Shaft hole that you or anyone else know about?!

Hallo Norbert.

Absolutely amazing I stumbled upon this video. I have a Shure V15 Type III which I bought in 1976 for $80.00 Canadian. A lot of money for a 22 year old at the time. Even more amazing I see at the end of this video you are playing this on a Toshiba SR355 Direct Drive turntable. This is the turntable I purchased at the time. I still have the Toshiba turntable (still working fine) and the Shure cartridge. I've since replaced the original stylus. At the time, in 1976, I paid $300.00 Canadian for turntable and cartridge.

My limited history with this cartridge is favorable. I have it on a Technics SL- QD33 turntable which has been sitting unused for a few years. Good to see that you played the last song on the record side. The last 1/3rd of a record side is telling if one hears Shattering of the sound quality. P-mount turntables do not get raves for being top-end turntables, but for general listening, these are not bad at what they do.
