Even before I got to all the weirdo stuff in this video, I wondered why it took place on a Greyhound bus instead of, well, a ship. I had hoped this would be colorful like The Wizard of Oz, but it was just brown and gray. I thought Shirley Temple might lick a large lollipop, but instead a very large crowd of men pressed blocks of candy onto her face. I'm sure the choreographer decided that Shirley should have a sick face from the "tummy ache" line until the end of the song, but I don't think that was a good choice.
