Absolutely amazing. I love the behind the scenes and the fact that there is so much time and care put into the products you all make. I have been looking for a roof top tent and awning for a while and this video, along with many others specific to your products, has definitely sold me on Alu-Cab

I own a canopy camper - this exercise is impossible! My wife can’t open the roof at all, I have to stand on the top of a ladder and lift it in power lifting style. The lifting weight is 30kg I Guess. Dampers have already been changed. What to do?

The conversion includes dual lighting, which does include a red lighting feature. Fitted fans would be an aftermarket fitment. We do not offer this.

Hi there, we recommend suspension upgrades. Our Jimny underwent some upgrades to carry this much weight!

@@alu_cab a suspension upgrade does not necessarily change gvm, areas that legally can change gvm via an upgrade are few and far between, some states of Australia, maybe SA, none in the USA - and even if a customer is in an area where this is possible (rare) then it's more than simply upgrading suspension. If the upgrade doesn't legally allow you to change the gvm on the door sticker then this is illegal, dangerous, and will void any insurance cover. So... Where was this video recorded, and was the vehicle legal or not? And don't you think this should be mentioned on a video with a Jimny, which in nearly all territories can not carry this weight legally?

This is my 5th roof top tent and 3rd awning after trying numerous other brands. This one is by far the best quality, fit and finish, and attention to detail. Just installed mine on my canopy along with the shadow awning. Opted for the reclining back rest and bamboo table for bonus points. Never been happier in a roof top tent. I'll keep this one for life. One feature I’d like to see is a small square ring that would fit between the camper box and the bed portion. Such an extension would allow for the bed overhang to raise a few inches so that Gladiator owners could fit the alu-table between the Gladiator roof and the bed overhang like Tacoma owners can. I’m aware there is the inside-the-camper mounting point but that would come at the expense of being able to mount pouches, etc to the underside of the bed platform. Now that you have this modular approach such an extension for the clearance could be possible.

How much weight can the "Low Profile" brackets hold? They seem to be only held with one bolt each mount to the canopy tracks and two bolts each mount to the load bar. This is a bit concerning while a tent is up there. I do have the Alu-Cab canopy with windows and debating on which route to go with.

@@Expedition_MojaveJT To mount our Gen 3-R or LT-50 to the Load Bars we make use of Tent-Load Bar brackets that also support the weight. We do not manufacture brackets for the IKamper and this would most likely be an aftermarket custom fitment. Thus, while the Load Bars can support the weight of the IKamper you will need to ensure these custom fitment brackets are strong enough to support the fitment to the Load Bars.

Awesome job guys and something I am genuinely considering for my own LC S76 wagon. The only thing holding me back is the commitment to cutting the roof off. There's no coming back. Or is there in your view? I.e; Assuming I'm considering selling the vehicle in the future - once my adventurous days ultimately come to an end - I'm conscious of the modification damaging the end sale price, given it would no longer be in its original state. It would be a major job welding a roof back on! What do you say to folk like me who are sitting on the fence? It would be easy if I chose never to sell the old girl. Hmm, maybe I just answered my own question! Lol Once again, awesome design guys. I love it.
