I have a ai yamaha sc2300i generator 2300 1800 blue it's surging can you show me please how to fix
@pjandme55282 жыл бұрын
Without seeing and hearing it , it’s kind of difficult to offer help. The first that I would check it your ground cable. That needs to be very secure.

If it ran o.k. and was stored for a while ( with fuel left in the carburetor) and now run rough , I would suggest that the fuel that was left in it , contained ....ethanol....E5 or E10 , ....5 or 10% ethanol, if that is the case , the ethanol turns into a sludgy mess , and sticks in the carburetor....blocking the tiny holes in the main jet , and the emulsion tube , if it is not to bad a good squirt of carburetor cleaner should sort it out , if not the carburetor needs stripping and cleaning ,

Nice choice on the FR rockwood. Damn well built rig. I was going to go with one of those but couldn't find the right floor plan for me. Ended up going with a jayco whitehawk. Which turns out was a great choice too. oh and thanks for your video lol I also bought this same generator from Costco. Been a great little gas sipper !

I was wondering...why does he seem to know everything about this thing when he just bought it? And then you said this is the 2nd one lol. I just bought the latest version of this from Costco for my new Micro 25fks. waiting on it to arrive. Bought an Easy start as well. thanks for the video.

@pjandme55284 жыл бұрын
Dominick Moyer , I’m still loving them. They’ve been sitting for most of the winter, so I decided to crank them up and I charged up my trailer batteries. Worked great after sitting unused for 2months.

Those are NOT Yamaha generators. They are off-brand generators with a Yamaha engine. Yamaha generators are expensive like the Honda
@pjandme55285 жыл бұрын
Chris Baumgarten , sorry for any confusion. But I do state @ 7:23 that these are not Yamaha but powered by Yamaha. That being said, the units have worked great for me.
@TheBandit76135 жыл бұрын
@@pjandme5528 I do believe they are good generators. A friend has one, had used it quite a bit and it had been flawless. The Yamaha engine included with your generator should give you years of service. I have 1600 hours on mine and it still runs like new. Your review is actually pretty good 👍
@moegreenbl4 жыл бұрын
It may not be Yamaha but what actually matters is you can get parts for that particular engine because it's made by Yamaha. The inverter and other components can all be found as well. some of the other off brands have knock-off motors that are harder to find parts for

Had any oil burning issues with Generator ? How it working so far? can't decide between this one are the regular Power one
@pjandme55285 жыл бұрын
dunno yolo Hey there. I have had NO issues with it burning oil. I did have a little issue with it being a bit picky about starting after sitting for 2 1/2 months. The units like fresh fuel. So if you don’t plan on using it often, I recommend that you only put in the amount of fuel need . Don’t fill it up. Hope that helps.

Hey PJ Thanks for the video I bought the same unit two years ago. it works fine on my 9K A/C Unit no issues. I did notice as time goes by it takes more then three pulls to get it started. I always turn it to choke and pull the cord twice on the choke and then I will turn the handle from the choke to between the middle of the choke and the run and pull it four to five more times be for it will start. I also make it A point to started it at least once a month when not in uses. Again thank you for the video.
@pjandme55285 жыл бұрын
Mine are still starting by about the 3rd pull. I also start them on a monthly basis. I did however, just drain them. The gas has been in them August and I don’t want things to get gummed up from old fuel. For the money these are a great buy.

It's sitting on a wood table. They're much quieter on the ground or even a utility rack on the RV.

They looked delicious and easier than I thought to make. Would love to hear how you guys are Ike living in the trailer on the road. This downsizing is hard, what to keep, what to let go oh my. Where are you heading next
@pjandme55285 жыл бұрын
Shelly Farrand , we are enjoying it a lot. It’s not exactly what we thought, but still very fun. Sticking to a budget has prevented us from doing a few things that most “tourists” do, but gives us lots of ideas of places to visit in the future. The downsizing is indeed a struggle. We are headed back to CA to deal with our large storage unit.

Since the unboxing of these generators I’ve used them twice in tandem. They worked very well. The only glitch I had was on the first time setup. My surge protector, which is a must have, when drawing power from a campsite or the generators was indicating an open ground. Sure enough, finger tightening the ground wire between the two was not enough. You need a 10mm socket wrench or pliers to insure a tight fit. I highly recommend the iPower from Costco.
@jdfield61605 жыл бұрын
PJ and Me When you say tighten the ground wire, is the the ground connection from the parallel cable where it grounds to the generator itself. I’m having issues with it overloading and tripping the breakers on the generator when I start my rv air conditioner
