Tree you didn't lose your humanity or let this cruel world take it from you despite what it has put you through. I'm proud to see and hear someone from the trenches talking with good sense which showcases your wisdom. I left Chicago back in 1969 at 10 years old and my story is very similar to yours except I'm sure yours is harsher simply because of the environment that you are in. If I ever make it back to Chicago I would like to look you up. Greetings from Alabama. There is so much that I want to say but I already know that you can tell a baby "THAT'S HOT" all day long for however long you have to but in the end they won't know HOT until they touch it. When they touch it the first thing they will do is look at you and say "HOT" knowing that they did something that you told them not to do. Experience should teach the average person hazards to avoid but it's hot everywhere in Chicago and nationwide these days.

A lot of us went to Barton. Born and raised on 75th. My parents bought the home in the 70s. It was the white neighborhood first. I couldn’t believe it when they told me that. Yes, it was peaceful in the 80s &90s. We had street lights to tell us to get home. 😊One thing about me I didn’t hangout on Winchester. I lost a friend on that block. Nice to see young man change his life.

My old stomping grounds. I grew up in Auburn Gresham on 84th & Hoyne in the late 70's, 80's and 90's. I attended Bogan HS on 79th & Pulaski class of 1989. It used to be an Auto parts store on 79th & Winchester where he was standing in the beginning of the video in the 80's.

I appreciate them giving back to the community but next time try finding a wholesaler with cheaper but durable clothing for the homeless(friends) you guys can save more money and able to give out more idk about handing out Nike sweatsuits to the people possibly a way for them to sell the clothing and buy d***s but salute to them 🫡💯

Great idea fasho, I’ll take that into consideration. We solely intended to help just make them feel equal. Regardless of they circumstances they shouldn’t have to look like there circumstances 💯

0:25 Wanna be thug with a badge 😂 As far as making a change its going to be hard. Damn near impossible. You cant control people. People are going to do whatever they want. You have successful and lowlife people in every race. Nothing we can do to change people who dont give a f$ck about changing.

I grew up on 84th & Hoyne in the late 70's 80's and 90's. I attended Foster Park Elementary and Bogan HS class of 1989. I see you have 1994 in your profile name so you are probably way younger than me. My daughter was born in 1994 and she attended Morgan Park HS.
