The craziest thing about these dudes are they no longer reside on those projects. They come there to loiter and show off for the cameras.

I’m from Blue Island back in early to late 90s use to hang in Robbins in the old trailer park across from one of the most fire BBq spots Blanches. No closed down. Use to roll through old projects. I was riding dirt bikes through Robbins way before everyone was rolling DBikes like now a days. Also was the new projects they tore them down quick tho. Robbins always been buck!!!

Then one thing about out west is you got young dope fiends, prostitution is normalized sadly all the learn schools is terrible and you got a low of group homes out west and north where their mainly at🤦🏽♀️🥲 real jealous women they don’t really like light skin girls out west especially if you cute they like to cut up faces still unless they know your people deep

Out west is the slum niggaz serve their grandmas mommas sister uncles daddy don’t give a damn this why us southsiders call they asz dirty. My gma don’t even claim the westsider because 16 Christiania was so bussin she told me all them people became dope feins dam near and we graduated college so that’s how the west and south beef started the westsider were really mad that their people south didn’t get turned out on heroin like the people that didn’t migrate south when drugs flooded the westside

I was 14 in 1985. It was bussin all out there! It was so much money on the streets. All of the suburbs were fun to hang out in even tho the white people were hating hard! Gang banging out there was different than in Chicago. I got money with everyone. I knew people in Roseland, Riverdale, Alsip, Mt. Greenwood, Hickory Hills, Palos, Chicago Heights, Harvey, Dolton, Dixmoor, Richton Park, Phoenix, Country Club Hills, Hazelcrest, Markham, you name it! Between the 80s-90s, my guys in Harvey were getting to it with the weed and we were getting cars! He money was ridiculous! I forgot about Robbins, Calumet Park, Calumet City, shopping at Evergreen Plaza, Lincoln Mall, Ford City, and River Oaks everyday! He ain't lying about the money that was out there. It was working Black people who were making good money, but it was street money for us kids to make and I lived in Beverly. I had cousins in CC, Hazelcrest, Dolton, and Harvey, plus we used shop and eat on Sibley. Deion Cole is from out that way.

I know every inch of that area. In the 80s, like Paid in Full... we used to hang out on 103rd and Halstead. We would damn near have that entire intersection blocked off. It used to be white and quiet around there. I went to Morgan Park, but we used to have to fight with Julian if we were on the bus. One thing that I can say about that area before the late 90s... it was EVERYTHING around there getting money together. Even tho a few people died from Vincennes to over east off of 103rd back then, it was mostly fun and MONEY! We were on money more than gang banging.

My uncle has owned some buildings behind that Plaza sons the 80s. It's called the Smiley Plaza because of that water tower. Smiley Face Water Towers. Calumet City, Illinois

Little known fact. People can call it nice and think that it's sweet, but it's not. I went to Morgan Park in the 80s. One of the folks lived over there that I was cool with. It was a hoagie spot over there, and they had the weed. People were getting shot back then! Beverly, Morgan Park, and Roseland were pretty white in the 70s! It was nice and clean with block clubs in the black parts. In the 90s is when it really changed. I dropped people off outside of the different projects all over the south side! Our opps were white people growing up in Beverly. We moved from Roseland when the white people started leaving.
