Is this her concert in Chicago a long time ago? It's the best rendition of this song I've ever seen. Why? NO DANCERS! Shania's newer performances, specifically in Las Vegas, are too distracting and over the top. I realize her act is "big" and not exactly subtle, but I don't like the dancers. This ad just wouldn't fly today. To be fair, the culture at the time allowed this to fly, but it's an example of "a product of the times." The transphobia is cringe. And on a bit deeper of a level, it's cringe that the character singing along with the song, is so guy-like. Someone that stoked about that song, is probably trans; probably from the South or Texas (Texas, you aren't the South. You're the West-South. Just as South unfortunately). In reality, the one person would likely be extremely anxious expressing like that around "the guys." Definitely around those guys, given the scoot-away. It's a terrible idea to push into society, that trans people are sexual predators just because who they are in their minds, doesn't match with the body they didn't choose to be born into. Trans people deserve equal rights and respect as anyone else. And dammit she should've been driving the truck in whatever outfit and/or make-up she wants when expressing her inner femininity. Not forced to wear those uncomfy guy-jeans and basic-ass t-shirt, while having scruffy facial hair. Let that character be who she is, and put her around people who respect her as an existing lifeform and not as some "abomination."
