What type of FILE is this? Where did you purchase the FILE?

This solution is exactly what I needed. Thank you. In my case, the gate post is too small for wood but made of substantial aluminum, so I used a 1/2" threaded rod, fender washers and lock washers, and a nut. Drilled through the post so I could get a ratchet through and tighten each side against the other and draw it tight. Worked like a charm, and I wouldn't have thought of it without having watched this video!

Pretty sure this is best solution I have found anywhere, been looking for months! You obviously know what you are doing since you built your gate. Gonna try to slow down video so I can understand better. You kind of lost me! Thanks for posting this!

Nothing against you/everything against Ford: I absolutely love the mixture of imperial and metric while doing this 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ (I'm at the point where I'm removing the brake line, which I have to do with an end wrench because there isn't clearance for a ratchet)

thank you so much for putting this out there. I was planning on using a turnbuckle... but as you said, I anticipated that it would not look acceptable. after searching for a better way I stumbled across your video. my search is over. this looks like the way to go for sure. thanks again for putting this out there. but

Thanks for the vid, it was a great help for me and my buddy who did it yesterday. It may have took us a bit longer, 9 hours!! And we had a lift! We ran into some roadblocks and never gave up and never would have been able to do it without your guidance.
