DEEEETROIT BASKETBALLLL!!!! The NBA season is finally back and man am I excited for our Pistons! I been away for a while but don’t think I’m not still keeping up on the best Pistons Podcast around, Dave. I’m loving the new background set up too by the way, the more Pistons memorabilia the better!! Praying for a speedy recovery for you and our guy Ausar 🙏🏼 My prediction this year is a minimum of 25 wins, with a possibility to get 35. Definitely high hopes that we double our wins from last year. Win or lose, I’ll be tuning in to ya Dave ! Also, I’ll be at the season opener too :) GO PISTONS ☠️🏀

Dave may have been correct, Cade cannot dictate the tempo of the game. I think teams know, if you push the ball, it frustrates Cade. Cade body language in that game (golden state) was awful. Cade has learn to run or push the ball. Bernie told him push the rock, but those half court breakdown isn't working.

Ivey is shooting 53% from 3 this pre season, and playing passable defense. He really needs to continue exploring the mid range game, that sideline fade he's done is one of his most consistent shots that he barely uses. I think Ivey is loading up a breakout year, if not this year he might explode next season. Unfortunately it looks like our team lives and dies from the 3 point line, if Ivey wasn't the only starter who made a 3 the game would be much closer.

Not to take anything away from DET. They looked good for preseason. But no Giannis, No Khris and Dame played like 15 min. 1/2 way thru Bucks had nothing but bench and by the 4th it was third stringers who will likely never see playing time during the season. So to take the final score as a decisive victory 'over the Bucks' is quite a stretch. Tl;Dr: It's preseason, I wouldn't make too much of it.

Nothing personal against Tim Hardaway, but one reason he was Dallas's 3rd leading scorer is that whenever Luka and Kyrie were both out, such as in games where one of them was injured, Hardaway would go in or stay in with the second unit as the only player who could got up (force up?) a shot. This was especially true in the first half of the season when the Mavericks were not good. He would also get a lot of points in garbage time. I am not saying he is a terrible player, but I completely agree with you that the fact that he was the Mavericks' 3rd leading scorer over the course of the whole season is an overrated stat.

When Ausar comes back give him THJs minutes and groom him to be the PF to replace Tobias in 2 years. Tecc will be just fine in a bench role.
