So tiny & died so young. I've read in more than one source that she was so dedicated to her 18" waist, she damaged her health w/ what is today called "an eating disorder". If a fan knows otherwise, I'll happily delete this comment. Can't argue w/ a huge talent!

I just watched this tribute to Vera Ellen, and it brought tears to my eyes... she was so young when she died. I have admired her dancing ever since I was a little girl. The days of being able to act, dance and sing are all in the past... now actresses are cheap and no talent. Rest in Peace Vera, your fans still adore you!

the only film I have ever seen her in was "White Christmas" and am floored at her incredible dancing talent, I cannot imagine what commitment it took for those who dance like her to Practice hours daily for years and end up in one of this Globe's best films ever.

A warm sweet touching tribute to a Charming adorable enchanting beauty. Miss Vera Ellen. The best talented musical dancer to ever grazd the screen. This touch my heart made me teary eyed. To think she had so much more to offer and her life was cut short with a sad ending. But her legacy lives on. Watching her dance is pure gold. Brings joy and delight. Is a privilege to see her on screen make her dance moves. She made it look easy. She will never be forgotten. Thanks so much for sharing. I wish I was born in this time. The best time to live in. :*

The clip where you labeled her as being with Rock Hudson is wrong.....that wasn't Hudson. I don't recognize whomever the guy was, though.
