I'll be curious to see if Oregon State can even recruit one 4 star player. I've heard this kind of talk for years and it never fails to disappoint me. 2 and 3 star players are not going to get you where you want to go. If your lucky you'll get maybe 2 outstanding players. Having looked into O.S. recruiting, they have actually recruited one 5 star player in school history, that's why they have had such little success and wasn't picked up by another conference. O.S. lost a number of games this year to Mountain West teams that they were supposed to kick their butts. Not to promising!
@nickvoelker7180Ай бұрын
Jackson likely won't finish his high school career as a 3 star. He should be bumped to a 4 star soon. He made the Bishop-Gorman defenders look like middle schoolers. Watch that high light reel, it's impressive.

I live in Boise. BSU is "ripe" for a fall. You guys mentioned the Wyoming game. Play like you did verses Wazzu. Stack the box against Jeanty. Bull rush Madsen, he's very shakeable. State has a very big chance to play "Spoiler" here. It is not impossible...

We know that Hankerson is a tank but a tank could only do so much run a sweep to the outside and get Hank and more involved. This team will be a lot better and quit taking touchdowns away from him.

NOBODY will want to play for Oregon State anymore because they suck. It's pitiful to watch them play. Everybody left the team in the transfer portal including the coach and Oregon State has been knocked back to 1898. It will take them 10 to 15 years to get back to being a competetive team, if they even have a football program. I personally don't think they could even beat a highschool team. I've been a fan if O.S. since 1962 and have never seen a worse team than this years team. Washington State has survived and prospered, so we can't blame the break up of the conference for Oregon States collapse. Poor team, poor coaching.

This colossal fail originates in the coaching strategy of the one man team=their quarterback and absolutely nothing for the rest of the offense. The whole season of failures because of passing to only the same guy repeatedly! So no other receiver plans. This whole over the cliff coaching strategy is very frustrating to watch. So the quarterback gets hurt and NOW WHAT😮 To put it plainly the coach is totally responsible for not utilizing his whole offense not to mention the defense!!! Really is this a division 1 school?
@dwaynehicks35302 ай бұрын
I said it before and I will say it again do not blame the freshman quarterback Johnson for the team's poor performance because they were performing poorly before he even took the snaps in that last game against Air Force. And if you really want to be real about it nobody really wants to come play For Oregon State I'm just being real so you guys need to take care of your freshman QB and hope stays
@boredtodadth46092 ай бұрын
No one is blaming Johnson for anything, but being critical of a performance is fair
@Navigatorfinds2 ай бұрын
I will say this in regard to Johnson. For him to get his first real action in a game, and for yall to expect him to read defenses w/o consistent reps and coaching is a tuff task. The qbs that can read defenses well, haven’t looked good. He was highly recruited and is more talented than the other 2 qbs. With proper coaching and live reps I think he’ll be better. How much better idk. But to just say he wasn’t good as if he’s been playing all season and has had the same opportunities as the qbs isn’t fair assessment of his capabilities. As yall know players usually don’t lose their talent. It’s all about what’s going on upstairs. One game where we can clearly see the coaching is an issue come on frfr.
@kingonipaayt30452 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. I feel like they’ve given ben and even gevani so much benefit of the doubt but once gabarri gets any real playing time and doesn’t do well, it’s the end of the world. The beavs season is over, it’s time to give the presumed future qb some real reps. He will struggle for sure but I’ll take that if it means he’ll be even slightly more experienced going into next year

Does he coach for a different team? The play-calling is horrible. You can't run in the A gap in an 8-man box. Could you get Hankerson the ball? No sweeps and one-read option the whole game. Man, this coach is horrible. I'm going to say it: this TE coach is awful. No OL TE push at all
@dwaynehicks35302 ай бұрын
These coaches had a game plan of all run and a pass here and there now you gotta go with the Red Shirt FRESHMAN by not giving him the reps you guys want to throw all the losses and bad play on the FRESHMAN but guess what he is a game changer you need to scheme around him now ! GO GABARRII JOHNSON!!!!!

“You’ve got to win the games you are supposed to win.” Very true. That is two games now (San Jose and Nevada) that they should have won, were favored to win, but threw away. Pretty sad. Those two games are likely to be the difference between a winning season and a bowl game (and even more importantly defiance against being thrown under the bus by departing PAC12 teams) and what looks to be a losing season. It was all in their hands but they couldn’t be bothered to seize it

McCoy is a great QB Offense has to do their job and get open. McCoy forces passes tight passes thats what causes the interceptions. The problem is not the quarterback. The problem is the offense today’s game They were a little open. That’s why there was a few passes made but before this game, nobody has been able to get open Oregon State offense sucks. That is the problem to this team when their office gets good they’ll start winning and it’s not the quarterback can’t make any throws. If nobody’s open nobody open high risk for interceptions today’s interceptions. It was all the quarterback shouldn’t have happened.
