Yogi isn't Yogi in this cartoon - he's acting "serious" (or so to speak) to the bluebird, he rarely speaks in rhyme, and there's no Boo Boo. Even though this is my favorite Yogi episode, it would've been better if it were a Disney or Looney Tunes character in his place.

Goodness again

It’s 2020, long after you posted this, Brandon. Though I was 20 and in university at the time these films were made, they timelessly evoke such memories and feelings from childhood. I cried thru the whole song. There’s Covid virus now attacking the entire world. So poignant to recall our innocence! Thank you so much! I finally got to cry over life’s strange journey. 🌈💜

I'm, not a religious person really but I like to take this narration and think of it as somewhat of a metaphor to modern-day civilization. I see it as its God giving us humans (The Rabbits) things such as tools and food (the grass) in which we have grown too fond of and are using all too much of it and it's destroying everything. Then things such as the foxes and dogs are the results of climate change, war, and overpopulation. The only way to overcome these problems is too simply.. run away from it all.
