Exactly what I was thinking of buying. I'm just mad at myself for wasting money at HD, renting one of these.

So glad I found this video. Digging a 23 foot pond in compacted clay is not fun. This tool made that a heck of a lot easier.

The first float you attached lag-bolts and washers while the float was upside down. How did you attach the remaining floats? Did you also use the same lag-bolts and washers? Much Thanks
@PoppasCottage17 күн бұрын
Yeah, just had to hunker down and work from underneath. We used the same bolts and washers.

Absolutely amazing!!! I have something similar but smaller to tackle in the near future. I didn't quite understand the pea gravel and plastic combination for air flow for the carbon monoxide fan. I don't understand what you were trying to prevent. Carbon monoxide or radon gas poison prevention or something? Again, unbelievable what you did, and you really knew what you were doing!!!
@PoppasCottage17 күн бұрын
Yes, I meant to say radon - it did the trick.

I just bought an old farm house built in 1900 and yeah, it's bad. Your video helps me imagine how to go about digging out a basement in order to resupport and repair the foundation. Anything less just won't do. Great video! Thank you.

Brand name hammer drills are going for WAY more the $500-600. Hilti can demand in excess of $1500. However, they are proven to last. I borrowed one from a friend of mine to break the temp concrete pad I poured to repair my truck. He gave me the back story of the thing when I was picking it up. He picked it up for $1k from a dealer (it then retailed for almost $3k) when he was wanting to get rid of it. It came with 3 attachments. He's had it for a little more than 20 years since buying it off the dealer. There was no noticeable bad effects of aging on it at all.
