It’s an expensive little machine and the independent hydraulic system costs extra. If your tractor hydraulics has a good enough flow you wouldn’t need that. I got mine from: dansomachinery.com, they have a used one for sale on their website at the moment.

on annual growth they are every bit as fast as any other machine ...........they have a 1.5 meter head ........used a mcconnel swing trim back in the day on a 165 massey 6 gallons of diesel would see you through the day at 1100 rpm would do 2 years growth also but it was harder on the machine ........

It's best when they do it along the road side , and leave all their shite around on the paths and roads , not to mention when it goes down the gullies and blocks them . Need stricter rules and regs on our farmers , if its not this its the mud they leave behind after coming out of a muddy field making the roads greasier than an old frying pan .....its a joke
@JM-nd4kt
@JM-nd4kt Жыл бұрын
You should volunteer to help them then and clear up the mess they make. Don’t complain if you don’t understand what you’re talking about and eat food which is a product of mud on the road farming activities and hedgerow maintenance so your car mirrors don’t get smashed by overgrown branches. Farming is a dangerous business and a thankless job that requires dedication year round whatever the weather conditions. Don’t complain if you eat food because a farmer on this planet somewhere has prepared the ground protected the crop and then harvested it and sold it to a reseller who sells to your supermarket who sells to you. Without farmers we wouldn’t be here there would be nothing to eat. If you don’t like bits on the road invent something new that prevents it happening otherwise best to shut up.

That to me is a little dream machine, - no dangerous high speed flails and flying debris, no high revs or pto stress on the tractor, just easy as she goes. The secret is to use it annually, so that there is no heavy fibre growth to cut. 👍👏👏👏

It’s a Rinieri BRM150. Made in Italy. I don’t know if it would fit on the tractor you mention, if it has a standard 3 point linkage it should. The mounting system comes with the machine, there are two extra links to stabilise it and level it. On the day it was delivered the guy from the dealership spent a few hours setting it up on the tractor and welding up a bracket for the controls.

I’ve had it about 6 or 7 years, it only comes out for a week or so once a year around this time. I’m very happy with it now, but it took me a while to get the hang of it. When I got it first I thought I was going to just put the tractor in gear and fly along, but it didn’t work like that. Our hedges are quite heavy and it takes a few passes to get a good finish. When you’re finished cutting you then have to gather up the cuttings if you want it to look tidy.

Would it cut heavy thick stuff , like small tree branches? It look like a finger bar mower principle
@shaking701
@shaking701 Жыл бұрын
It’ll cut broom handle size stuff as long as you go slowly. It’s sold as a hedge trimmer, so I don’t think it’s designed for heavy cutting. The knives on the finger bar are the standard type available from your local farm machinery supply shop. One thing to note is that it cuts the bushes like a scissors and they fall down on to the ground and need to be gathered up afterwards.

Love the aspect ratio of this video. Curious if you were using an anamorphic lens, a 360 or if you sized your footage in post-production. I am 68yrs old and working on my ppl. The upcoming matched/finished hole 701 kit is looking like a safe airplane to accumulate hours in. Your 'summer door' idea is brilliant for photography.

Hi Gary, thanks for your comments. The cameras that I used were: A GoPro 10 on the wingtip, a GoPro Hero Session on the tail and a GoPro Hero 2 in the cockpit. I think they’re all set to wide or extra wide angle. I don’t even know what an anamorphic lens is! The 701 is a great little airplane as long as the pilot and passenger are not too big.

Hi Stephen, yeah, I was finding it difficult to lift mine up and it’s only 60 inches wide. The bar is some old pipe I had lying around, 40mm (1 1/2”) diameter and I made it 1200mm (approx 4’) long. I just cut and welded the 90 degree bend on to it. Your deck is bigger than mine so you might need to make it a bit longer. The slot that it fits into on the deck was already there from manufacture. I have taken photos but can’t see how to insert them here. Maybe I can email them to you. Regards, Shay.

Hi, Interested in the bar you made and how you lifted the deck on the F-series mower. I have a 72 inch model and the deck is too heavy to man handle it. Do you have pics of pry bar and where you make contact with the deck? Appreciate your time. S Dyson

Karl, I think this is it, it’s near Tullow Co. Carlow: Rathgall, Rath Geal, or Ring of the Rath is a large multivallate hill fort near the town of Shillelagh. Dating from the Bronze Age, it consists of three roughly concentric stone ramparts with a fourth masonry wall dating from the Medieval period at its centre. Rathgall is a National Monument which is in state care.

I thought about doing something similar before but had not tried it yet. That looks great! Love the way the door opens forward as well. Wish I had done that when I built my 701. Mine fold up per plans and always hit the fuel sumps. Not to mention leaves a sharp piece of metal in peoples' face when they look in the cockpit with the doors open. Great design changes!

About 10 years ago the Government built Cleggan airstrip and a similar runway on the island of Inishboffin with the intention of having an air service between the two. The planned service was cancelled after the runways were built. Google Cleggan airstrip to get more info.

Hi Jason, the prop is a Woodcomp Klassic 170 (68") 3 blade from the Czech Republic. It's 18 years old now and still good. I've sent it back to the factory a couple of times for a checkup; they recommend doing that every 5 years. They check the blades, replace the leading edge tape, repaint the hub if necessary and check the balance. I've set the pitch to give 5300 max static rpm. I have about 9" of ground clearance with the standard tyres.

I came across the tractors while looking around Grindavik. I was trying out a dji Osmo 2 gadget, it stabilizes your camera phone when filming. The tractors were outside a building which I think is a tractor museum, it was closed. I don’t know if any of them are for sale.
