Just had Beer Lab's Leahi as my wife and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary in town - lovely! Of the beers shared in this episode, I'm very curious about that Magnus Monachus Belgian quad. Not a big lager or even a Belgian fan, but the date sugar is an interesting take and I applaud the experimenting! Now I need to go try it...

I enjoy the discussions about Belgian beers. Maybe in a future episode, could you highlight some of the beers brewed or common in Brugge such as the Straffe Hendrik from the De Halve Maan?

De Dolle is canned in the US by B United/OEC in Connecticut. I've been to the US distributor and the brewery in Flanders. It's one of the best drinking experiences. The head brewer does all the artwork. I had a t-shirt but it got ruined over time so I need to go back. The Export is a stout based on old English styles. English stout used to contain brett.

REAL was the perfect gastropub at the perfect time in Hawaii. Loved the Shelton Bros portfolio that came in, all of the staff, & the food. Miss that place, but still cherish those memories! 🤙🏼

I miss the old Real. They had a beer engine. And all the beer people that came in, the events, and the best festival at the parking lot across the street! that first festival had Dogfish long before you could get it here. plus the food and the oyster shots, man... That was the best time in Hawaii beer. not as much beer was around so it was even more special. hope the new beer geeks appreciate this history of Troy and Real

Thanks so much for your review, great video!! There are a number of beers you tasted that I have not tried yet. I have been trying to find NA beers that I enjoy drinking for the past 2 years, and most of them I find kind of terrible. I was curious to see what you thought of the Athletic Brewing as I have really not enjoyed most of their beers. It seems like they have a peculiar aftertaste that just is not good. So far, the best NA IPA I have had is Untitled Art Juicy IPA. It is so good, and absolutely tastes like a "real IPA". I also echo everything you said about the Guiness Zero, that is the best dark beer I have had by far.
