The comments on the video about the Bosnian genocide were turned off. I hate you for not giving the people a voice, go fk yourselves.

This is my Uncle George! He was always a great man to me! He would start to tell us about WW II but my parents told us these stories would release terrible nightmares for my Uncles who tried to tell us their stories. His smile made it seem it was ok for him.

A Mexican -American Texan (Tejano) WWII GI and combat Veteran. There were so many of them from the Southwest, like my California Maternal grandfather, John V. Gallardo, a Naturalized in the Army, US Citizen who gallantly gave his life for this country on March 14th, 1945 with Earl O. Brake of Alabama who received the Distinguished Service Cross (posthumously). They both died near Antipolo, in the Jungle Hills outside of the Philippines, repelling a Japanese Banzai Attack that morning.

I was good friends with his older daughter and they lived 2 blocks away. We were friends for 20+ years. He was already retired from the AF and working on a college degree. I learned much about Mr. Wessels that I didn’t know. Thanks for posting.

Hank was a wonderful man. His constant humor was always a reminder to me to look on the bright side of life. I know that he and his wife Ruth are missed by many.

Reverend Wilson Canafax. A great man of God shares his history from WW2. Glad to have crossed paths with this gentleman as a young man growing up in McKinney, TX. Thanks for posting.
