I finally just finished listening to the entire series, it was a slog, there are so many boring filler books. I dont know how anyone could recomend this series to anyone, that said the good books were great

I think the issue here is, I guess "consent" or "direction of expectation" maybe? In this specific case, the person is willing to have a "Ten-Tickle" from the Tentacle. It's about what _they_ want and what _they_ consent to. They are the ones offering themselves to the tentacle. Meanwhile saying "look at the thrupenny bits on her" is about what _you want_ *from her* and consent is, arguably, only one sided. The man wants the woman, it's his desire being placed first.
