Wait wait wait....referring to fgo events as short and exciting XD? Uh no lol. Well talking about the JPN server. THey REALLY had this issue for the last....year(?) where events were way too long, with too long pauses inbetween, no-reruns, and FGO still is just a farming event game with some random niche slapped onto the event. Like FGO JPN we are dealing with 3 week long events XD. Along with the fact we only received 1 servant upgrade within the last few months.

I love AS for its godlike art and presentation, I still keep it on my emulator even after others have been uninstalled. Ryota-H sensei is the art director for this game too. Sadly my issues with AS are core to its DNA - its gameplay ceiling is very limited. The board is the same, and the worst part is the characters can't really be super unique or different. Even the most powerful 6* can only do things like change tiles, heal or do damage just like the 3*s - the animations are amazing but their concept is limited. It leads to the same problems Genshin has which instead of making unique gameplay, it relies a lot on novel-length stat descriptions and weird passives, or constantly recycled abilities. This is the most frustrating part for me because the matching color board is part of AS' core idea but is also its most limiting aspect - I wish they have new game modes that try new genres (like Arknights' roguelike mode and Genshin's card game mode) and really do something new with the characters. The game feels like it has so much potential but is held back by its own skeleton.

I remember jumping back on after a long hiatus cause of Reinhardt, there was a bethlehem rerun aswell dropped 50K lumamber and alot of SS Flares just to MBT. Skipped like 4 events characters trying to save up again for end of year it was rough.

Been playing this game sorta on and off, and I usually dont even do the events. Tried it once, and its the same thing over and over again. Cutscenes are welcome though, and they've stepped up their stuff so far (as of writing). I stopped doing story quests after I got to ch10, just in case I get bored. Got a few A3 units maxed out and I still enjoy leveling them. Love the gameplay too, so its kinda a shame the events just suck the life out of me really. I still play the game often it's just that I wish we had more to do than just maxing out units and playing a copy pasted event formula. Also hate the EXP farm its so shit imo, takes ages to 80 a unit lmfao

I quit this game a year ago and it's sad they didn't addressed this crucial issue which is their one dimensional gameplay. This gameplay is fun but when you've did it thousands of time and nothing changes, it gets boring overtime. That was the case a year ago and it's disappointing it still the issue now. To make it worst, there is no skip tickets to tone down the boring feeling for end gamers, so people ended up just quitting because they can't do this grind anymore.

See though, I think there's something you be said for the fact that Tourdog is fighting Power Creep much better overall than the other games. Genshin in particular really makes you feel like you need the new waifus/husbandos to keep up. AS is really great at saying "Hey you player with shit rolls, don't worry you can still keep up!" I'm inclined to think that Genshin and Arknights are struggling to get new players because you HAVE to focus on getting the new characters to fully enjoy the game.

I hate the needed for dupes for characters abilities, not sure if this was updated or not. No sweep too, man even if you can autorun you don't want your phone to do that, yeah sure there's pc client but having sweep is better or just do clear manual once per day and sweep. I quit right after dragon maid collab. Thing with BA rerun events is they release a new unit. Bunny Akane is newer one on rerun, the previous summer event could have additional two Abydos students on its rerun. There's something to look forward to haha.

I really loved alchemy stars and its gameplay. My personal opinion, As a female player who originally loved the artwork and partially conservative artstyles, the game suddenly became quite offensive to me which made me lose interest over time. Still, I occasionally play once or twice every other week, but basically that’s it. It’s moved on to become a gacha game with the devs selling sexually revealing characters which unfortunately do not appeal to my taste. 1) And yes, I totally agree with the stagnation part. 2) i especially love the background and sounds. They’re top notch which makes it a waste to die out. 3) filler events were so boring but the events which connect to the main (ex. Reinhardt) were superb

I would like to share some points, about my perspective why i prefer play AS than others (Arknight, etc): • My only reason to stay (AS) is , because I love the design, gameplay, and i am typical of chilled player. • Duration of events helps me a lot as not a daily player, as a lazy gamer or we can say too busy to play many games. • I don't like being competitive in a 'game', so don't have Hiiro, Reinhardt, or any Broken OP God Tier Units, is never be my trouble for sure. • I tried to play Arknight too, but only played for 3 days then uninstall it. I cannot doing my assignments while playing Arknight because the gameplay.. has duration and we cannot being afk. But AS is kinda chess, I can be multi-tasking while playing AS. If i am playing in long time ago, like 7-10 years ago, probably I would like to uninstall AS and keep playing Arknight instead. I'm too old (too busy) to play a solo competitive game. Haha

I think the most important thing that was said is the sentence at 5:24 . I quit the game after the first few months and never really felt any urge to go back, because the gameplay is just too much numbers (stats/rarity are way too important) and too little actual skill expression (it would be impossible to see someone clear hard stages with not upgraded characters or a team of only low rarity), especially compared to something like Arknights, that also has way superior world story and character stories.
