Played there many times. It was a total dive. I remember a rat running over my foot in the basement mens room. The tiny dressing rooms were right behing the stage with nothing separating them but a thin piece of plywwod covered with rock star signatures and grafiti. Trying to tune my bass while another band was on stage was nearly impossible. Best Rock & Roll experience of my life!

Some them at the Boat club, Nottingham 1980. I remember Paul Cook standing up and shouting, 'still gobbing wankers'.

KISS used to play Shandi in Australia. Usually only Paul on guitar, but the whole band played it on the last tour.

In case you guys don't know who this band is there a like a offspring of Cinderella from the same Philadelphia area, these guys are actually playing and singing so there's no lip syncing not like the way they do it now!! Britny fox rocks🤘

A great band that deserved much more success. This video is the third, and final lineup, lip synching a tune from the second album, "Berkshire". Only David and Don remained. Another lineup of great players (We mostly all knew each other back then). Several of us also worked on Danny Douma's "Night Eyes" album. Worth a listen if you liked the first two Wha Koo albums. kzbin.info/aero/PLLmHh5NU0EAgpN2YBzxV6Oxi7zrdgcQGH

Thank you for putting this up for our listening pleasure--a superb-sounding rexcording! I'd like to hear an "Aereo-Plain"-style arrangement of it--as well as a Dead-ish one at a slower tempo. I always liked Williams's rendition berrer than John Hartford's, because the dryer mix and more rustic instrumentation suit it better, production-wise. Hey - what if Brewer and Shipley had recorded this tune when they did "One Toke Over The Line"?

@@RockandRollMusic00 thank you for putting that in there. i remember when these were on his website back around 2001. recently saw him in an interview saying that around that time he tried hard to put a band together to scratch the music itch he had, however he had a rough time finding musicians that would dedicate the time and effort he was looking for.
