30:15 ugh seeing and hearing Hawthorne again makes me realise i DEFINITELY developed some rose-tinted glasses about Red War 😅 but other than her and the MCU-like dialogue, it's still a fun campaign overall. i really miss it

When I saw that destiny 2 was free to play I was so excited to continue the story from where I left off in the original destiny. I was so confused and disappointed to find out the original campaign was gone and I would never get to play it. Thanks for posting this.

Funny how everyone was shitting on this campaign and calling it bad, and now you're all complaining that they removed it and are even talking about nostalgia. That's the Destiny player base in a nutshell; never knowing what they want. It’s pretty much the same as when you ask for things from D1 to be reprised because they were fun (like raids or exotics), and then complain about getting old content back and insult Bungie for being lazy af lol

It's honestly insane gow much content Bungie ripped out and never put back in. That feels like false advertising to even sell Destiny 2 anymore with the original box.

This is old footage from 2020 to say the red war got vaulted in November the 10th in that year and on the same day as the release of beyond light.

This campaign was so good. The ost, good villain, and did a good job of introducing you to the new game. Its a shame we cant play it anymore.

They should never have removed this. It really was such an awesome campaign for new players

They should do what the current lineup of cod games do where you have access to everything and can pick and choose what you want to have installed that way players could experience all the dlc and base game story content at least and then once you’re done just uninstall that specific game data or whatever. If something like that is possible.

I wish I'd had the opportunity to play the older content, only got into D2 this year and these campaigns/stories look amazing. Would be amazing if they'd rerelease it as legacy content in some fashion, probably not though.

And they cut *THIS!* from the game!!! The best campaign next to the final shape. The amount of new players that will never experience the feels of that scene when ‘journey’ started to play for the first time. Absolutely terrible.

Although I remember the times of the Red War with nostalgia, but this video raises questions for me. I 100% remember that Warlock started without exotics, and the first subclass was the Blade of Dawn. The first exotic item (helmet or breastplate) was obtained on Titan from Sloane
