I love this pose. It feels so incredibly good. The twisting aspect is important bc if I do not, my shoulder ends up right on the knee cap, which feels not so good! Thank you for this!

Begin. And again. And again. So needed to see this today! 7+-year practitioner and have gradually entered perimenopause. My 5-6day/week practice has turned into 1-2 days/week if I'm not feeling creaky/fatigued/headachy. It bums me out but this is where I am. Thank you for your demonstration of Urdhva Mukha Paschimottanasana. Also you could bring in the principal of the first cakra. From the first center, the lowest end of the spine, the legs and upper body grow upwards into the vertical until an ideal shape is created at the end.

Um please tell… bc I’m just learning and I need to know what’s wrong with that. Bc that must be why I’m hurting so bad on the top of my right foot and I’m extremely flexible but yeah no it is my first time doing the correct lotus post and it is not working out.. and I’m literally about to give up because I’m tired of trying to figure it out. I have joint hyper-mobility /double-jointed /elders danlos l blah blah etc so no flexibility is never an issue & not the issue. Unless the top part of foot it’s not flexible enough or something and I think it’s the whole being crushed returning the wrong way, but I don’t know
