That is my question also. Did he have a carborundum gel on the plexiglass and inscribed the figure on it? In that case it would be intaglio for the figure outlines and relief for the colors on the figure.

@@robertspies4695 I think he used glass makers type aluminium to make a hard setting paste similar to carborundum on the plexiglass that he used to emboss and texture the paper
