I won't ever accept Second Son as the continuation of the story. No way Cole sacrificed himself TWICE for some b*tch with traumas to come screw it all up. Second son was good but Cole has nothing to do with the story because it doesn't make sense to kill all conductors but a few survived because my nutsack said so.

Crazy thing is, in a way both endings suck for those that are collateral, because especially the good ending, Zeke straight up confirms people died not even knowing they were a conduit, or even Kuo, people can dislike her sudden change but you just have to realize she wasn't originally a conduit, she was turned one and now was forced to die, at least cole's been one long enough to know his alignment, know what he wants to do with his powers, but Kuo wasn't even a conduit long enough to make that choice on her own So her fighting for her life in the end only to give up once she realizes there's nothing she can do, it sucks

What I don't get is how dodgy some of the conduits survive because the beast had already turned augastine into a conduit by this time. In my 30+ years of gaming, Infamous 2 is one of the very few 10/10 games I've played. The whole journey to either ending is just that good.

This choice really sucked because neither outcome makes you come up smelling roses. Yes, Cole’s sacrifice is very noble and proves he’s a hero, but a good chunk of the conduits weren’t evil, just normal people that were unaware of their potential. But, at the same time, I can’t fault Cole because they didn’t have a choice. The beast was about to do the exact same thing, so it was literally do or die. Sad thing was, it was do…then die.

It feels like games these days are made to maximize profits or FPS or some other unecessary and stupid milestone. Games during Infamous' era made me feel so alive, it felt like i was living as another person and was always excited or looking forward to the next quest or the next storyline, every game had so much content and passion put into it. It wasnt about getting the most sales, it was about conveying a story and wanting to share it with the rest of the world. The final word on Omegle describes the modern world best, i feels like today is more "passive consumption rather than active participation" i dont feel engaged or alive anymore when i play videogames, theyre just not the same as they once were. People before made such beautiful pieces of art, but today, its all profit margins and formula's for dopamine. The life has been sucked out of it (wether its 10 sequels like in Fast and furious, or its clickbaity titles and thumbnails like with Mr. Beast and Pewdiepie). I could just be some angsty teen, but it just seems so much harder to find an experience that you just want to dive into, there are many less "yoooo thats so cool" moments compared to before. It used to be exciting to play videogames, now it just feels like its something to do when you have nothing better to do.

I like how this game took the most obvious looking characters on the moral spectrum and switch them. Nyx is now a part of the Good ending and Kuo on the Evil ending. Really warps definitions of good and evil

You know what’s more sad? People around the world BARELY knew who Cole was after saving the world. The DUP started misinformation campaigns that made Cole still remembered as the Demon of Empire City and doubled-down when Augustine told Delson that half of the Conduits were killed by the military, when in truth, it was Cole and the RFI

I find it funny that Nix was most of bad options during game but is the good one at the end but also glad since i went with hers most of time.

Honestly, this ending annoys me, not because it's bad in itself, but because there's no alternative where the cure your character had no way of knowing for certain would work just fails. The choice you are presented with is a 100% chance of saving some people while killing people who would have died anyway versus a maybe chance of saving most people and a certainty of killing everyone who would have survived if you'd done nothing. But that's not how it goes. You pick the option which for all you know dooms everyone and it never does.

Cole was the first game protagonists death that really stung. Then it was John Marston, then Arthur Morgan. Truly amazing characters
