If Lila could be “taken”, she loved money more than Kells. Biggs did kill her though. This is almost retconned though since Down Low with Lila, was released in ‘95. I feel like they gave a pretty lame excuse for all this back-and-forth. This is what I think would’ve made more sense: Kelly and Lila really seemed to love each other in “Down Low”. Kelly was sobbing when she died. THAT could have been the reason for all of this. Kelly will continue to cheat with Mr Bigg’s girls, and he probably felt invincible and he was never going to let another man treat him like Mr B in “Down Low” ever again (Biggs and his men beat the shit out of him and left him the middle of nowhere)…Kelly got money and a bunch of bodyguards just like Mr B (as seen in “Contagious”). So, as he did with Lila, he cheats with/takes all the girls from Mr B until he there is this final showdown where he can get revenge. I don’t know, that just makes more sense to me than Mr Biggs stealing Lila from him when they were at an opera in ‘98.

I just think it’s amazing The Isley Brothers were able to put out really good songs for over six freaking decades. That is a big deal and a LONG time. They debuted in 1954. Couldn’t believe it. Both of the brothers look great! Black don’t crack.

You can tell this song is older because Mr. Banks only dialed seven digits when he called his boy. I don’t even remember the last time I did that!

I don't understand how numerous critics said this song was a something of travesty to songwriters everywhere..this shit is too dope..I remember first gettin this album February 2003(20 years that shit is crazy)I was in my junior year in high school and I went and got it the day it hit as soon as I gotta out of school and I couldn't skip one track and it remains my favorite from Kelly and one of my all-time favorite albums in any genre ...the song is a classic on its own(though I remember thinkin back then this has to be the end of Mr Biggs bein cheated on but nope) but the interludes make it much more believable.. especially that first one with Kelly playing Francis that shit sounds too real and then Kells with that line "haven't u cum enough?" but the way she asks it so sexy...classic track,classic album eternally...though of course Kelly himself is an asshole and I'm glad he's finally facing what he's done ...I mean damn bruh u damn near got away with murder when that tape hit but instead of just winding shit down u kept going with and tempting fate and in one sense I almost don't blame him as so many people acted like the tape never even happened so of course Kelly thought hed never have to face the music
