Big bike easier, because of the distance you have to travel and the speed which you can travel comfortably at, you will feel comfortable and able to travel at higher speed. I've ridden FZ16 (Hatyai), MT03 (current) to Thailand (Phuket) solo. Its tougher on smaller bikes but still able to do it. Great to see that this video is very informative for rider first time plan/ wish to ride north. At border please give yourself additional 1-2hrs for clearance at Thailand side, Malaysia side clear as fast as in Johor.
@ZeroBros5 ай бұрын
Yeah I get how you feel, rode scooter to Thailand this year (future uploads), and is a much more different experience. So far cleared Thai border side quite fast all the time, max 15mins. I guess see timing, so far always arrive morning. And of course thanks for your support!

@@ZeroBros perhaps the craziest ride i have done is with my FZ-16, rode back from Hatyai, exit highway rode up to Cameron highland and stop over at Fraser Hill for the night, but because was stopped at police road block at Cameron Highland, it wasted 2 hours (accusing my bike is engine CC is not what i had told them, then say Singapore license Malaysia dont recognize), so i rode up to fraser hill in the night, good experience riding up in the dark though.

Just gotten my 2A in July 2024, and bought a CB400X. Can't wait to try riding into Msia! Desaru seems good for a starter trip, so thanks for this comprehensive video!
@ZeroBros5 ай бұрын
400X no problem go Desaru eat seafood and come back also ok. Learn about your bike (petrol consumption, ideal cruising speed, etc) and do full servicing and good to go. You try once sure you tempted to explore further.

No, the little one does fine on this loop. When I biked up Doi Inthanon I saw a local guy with a pillion passenger rode Wave100cc past me by easily on the way up to the top at 2565 MSL. I rode up Doi Inthanon 5 times and the last time when I was 60 years old, taking 6 hours, stopping and walking the bike when it was too steep.

@FurryWrecker9119 ай бұрын
They have a nice stealthy look on the R3, but the problem I ran into is I can't buy replacements for the pucks when they break. You HAVE to buy an entire kit. I've laid mine down 5 times over the years, and each time I've just glued them back together. They do the job well enough, but it's bothersome you can't replace the (sacrificial imo) part that takes the impact.
