Современные технологии оптического волокна позволяют на *прямом опыте* проделывать это даже школьникам. Два варианта приборов предложены в предыдущем коммент… И мы увидим что "Свет - это упорядоченная вибрация гравитационных квантов и доминантные гравитационные поля корректируют скорость света в вакууме" приборы в невесомости перестают работать.

A substantial misconception here, if not clarified, is the notion that the Higgs mechanism gives rise directly to the masses measured for any [hadron], say, the proton. This is incorrect: the Higgs mechanism may give rise to most or all of the "current masses" of the quark constituents, but these do not add up to the proton mass. Much of that, and so much of the observed mass in the universe, comes - to greatly simplify - from the binding QCD forces that emerge from the "prior vacuum" IN the proton. These give rise to confinement, flavour symmetry breaking, etc., but most notably create a potential that creates the binding energy that we note at macroscopic scales. Why you start with the Higgs mechanism I am not sure: it is an advanced topic that has been pushed by the PR groups at the accelerator centres (some of my colleagues) but it is a roughshod way to present the Standard Model.
