Beautiful sound (I've thought so since 1974), but they had no idea of what the lyrics are about. What does "in the 1917" mean? Every Neil Young fan knows that it's a sad song about "mother nature on the run in the 1970s."

I saw Maxie and Mitch at the Red Lion folk club in Birmingham in the 1990s. I'd never heard of them before that day, and did not know what to expect. Their performance was the funniest thing I've ever witnessed in my entire life; I literally had to leave the room to calm down for a few minutes because I could not breathe for laughing so much. I'm saddened that there is so little footage to remember them by. Thank you, Maxie and Mitch, for bringing so much joy to so many people.

After Ray left and then Hully died this was 100% the best line-up of the band. Fab musicians, great songs and a great lead vocalist / frontman Billy Mitchell.

Didn't read the books but loved the fims on TV in the 80's and 90's, nothing compares to them on TV today - woke rubbish.

I was proud to see them Shepherds Bush and sat in front of a young brother & sister and I said that they were a little young for the Lindisfarne concert, and they were there to honor their Dad who had played Lindisfarne music all their lives and he had sadly passed away. A lovely tribute X
