I don't know... maybe certain personalities are more compatible? Like my dog and me we both have a ''blank face'' syndrome. She is a pup but feels like an old dog. Im my dogs favourite..he is a rough collie, I took care of him when he was a puppy, I always give him hugs and kiss his nose I show him how much I lovd him.. he sleeps on the bed, next to my legs only when Im home..otherwise he doesnt do that with anyone else.

Nice info just bcareful alot things people were doing in the video dogs don't enjoy. Not animal expert but throwing them up in the air seems cruel to me.

When I got my rehomed American bulldog he would always come to me and let me know what he wanted my ex always got mad because the dog would come to me not him it got tò the point my ex wouldn't allow the dog to come to me in my room for anything in the end the ex ended up leaving my life and the dog and I still have each other so much unconditional love between the two of us

My dad interacts with my dog like 3 times a day and she still prefers him

For the first time I am a dog’s favorite. My mom is always the favorite and I’m usually always in second or third, but I got a Jack Russell puppy around 5 months ago and I have no doubt that I’m her favorite. She sleeps with me every night and always wants to play with me. She also follows me everywhere.

So tell me this. How does it work when you never met the dog before and they are excited to see this. When I was younger my friend invited me over to her house, but told me to be careful because the little dog might bite. He’s always barking and sometimes snapping even at them. When I first came over there she open the door and I stepped in. The dog came running at me and started jumping up and down on my leg excited to see me and was twirling and peeing everywhere in excitement. Then from there on he never left my side when I was over there and even was very protective of my against my friend, her family and others. And every time I stepped in the house he would be hopping up in down peeing everywhere. lol

did we run out of people or something?

how do animal know if that potential owner that they are the one for them or does the owner pick the dogs because of how it look or fee from the dogs.???

🤣🤣 I don't think so I rescue my dog my boyfriend hated the idea.. The first day we got him he ripped out all his stitches and almost bleed to death.. I kept him alive till my boyfriend got home 3 hrs later to take him to the vet as I can't drive.. I spent 2 month healing him from what he did to himself.. I feed ,walk ,train play, spend all day and night with my dog like his my baby he goes with me every where. My boyfriend is not mean to our dog but he usually makes no time for him at all.. My dog favorite person in the hole wide world is my boyfriend.. Go figure🤣

My dog has 3 favorite people but for different reasons I’m probably her favorite in the sense of cuddling and loving on her but she likes my husband more for sleeping because he lays flat so she just lays on him and she loves my daughter because she plays with her she’s only 6 but plays with her a large amount of time other then school of course.

A dog will treat you they way you treat it. They have no bias, they don't care about race, gender (most the time), height, or weight. You raise a puppy well and it will love you forever.

I broke up with my girlfriend because of my female dog we love each other so much that my girlfriend got lost in the triangle and asked me to choose one to give all attention to... so I let her go... 1 for putting me in that position . 2 : i realized that i can live without her as a girlfriend but I can't separate myself from my babygirl.... a tip from me to anyone in that position ... never leave your dog because of a girlfriend or a boyfriend

I know for sure I am not my dog's "person". He goes to my step mom's for daycare and her mother lives there as well. I call her his bff. He'll lay in her lap for hours. Me....I can get about 5 mins. Lol! I think it's because she feed him everything when I first got him.

My wife gets angry because our dog will not come into the house when she calls her, My wife always says get your dog she will not listen to me all I have to do is call her name once and she comes barreling into the house.

Since I have been on my own I have always had a dog. I train my dogs to understand english, spanish, sign language and clicking. From day one my dog (border collie) prefers others over me. Preferably men. I have never had such a hard time training a dog and 3 years later we still have not bonded. I work with cats on the streets to sterilize and he is supposed to help me but initially he did not want to work and finally starting to show an effort to work. I take him almost everywhere I go but he is obsessed with other dogs and people in the streets. He does not greet me at the door. I come home and find him sleeping on the bed with his legs in the air so I check to make sure he is alive. He is not food motivated. He eats to survive meaning only when he is absolutely hungry. I even contacted several companies to get samples of food so he can choose. He will not even eat my food. What dog would turn down a steak. Everytime I feed him he proceeds with caution because If anything I cook smells like his food he will not eat it unless it is eggs. He actually runs away. Not good for my confidence in cooking. So I now leave it in GOD's hands because I am all out of ideas. I feel like this dog wants to be with a large family. I have never given up any of my dogs but this dog does not seem happy in my home.

Psh I feed, nurture, entertain/walk my boy constantly. He’s still ridiculously aloof and independent. Still acts like he’s better off w/o me. The birds still get more attn than me ☹️
