Coming from league this is slightly helpful but I would love a more in-depth comparison. I just can't grasp how the game is played exactly. I get where each role starts and what the general idea is. But details like who last hits minions and jungle camps in duo lane (obv carry for gold but do supports go out of their way to never last hit or is there a scenario where they have to). When to roam, when to jungle camp, how to stay ahead in levels, wave states, etc. Smite 2 to me currently feels like a contest to see who can wave and camp clear the fastest. Also the itemization feels waay more important and i dont know what balance to go for between usual damage items and situationals. maybe im just trippin or something and its obvious to everyone? cause no guide seems to help much :( should i just look up smite 1 stuff?

That was one of the things about me that I didn’t like her ultimate is hard to use and it doesn’t do much damage mean first of all if you’re using it from range from a long ways off, it’s hard to get to the target you want and by the time you’re here you fire in your arrow gets there But the seems like the target has healed or it just wasn’t that effective. In my opinion hard to select the target hard to hit them before they get healed up or go you know inside their base or something. It is nice that you can target from across the map, but there are better characters for that new while for instance her ultimate hits just as hard as needs, but it hits every single character so you wait until you see a health bar low and then you pop it off or if there’s a big scrum going on pop it off and your team will finishagain. I am playing exclusively in arena because I just like the PVP so new is one of my favorite and I would think she’s considered a mid cause she certainly not very good getting up close. She has no way to escape at all.
@billy_cross2 күн бұрын
Yeah, I just played Medusa yesterday for the first time and goddamn is it easy to like wipe out two or three people? I mean Medusa is a really good playmaker not necessarily gonna finish a bunch of people at once but you get your ultimate on them and then your team just wipes everything out Assuming your team is actually worth a shit and paying attention and I’m talking in arena obviously it’ll be different in conquest, I liked her for a number of reasons one she seems to have a very good range with her basic attack, and it hits heart frequently. I can be a little further away from someone than what their basic attack will be hitting or maybe they’re just bad at it, but it seemed like mine was going further and it was hitting really hardand her you know number I think it’s her number one makes it hit harder. I was never impressed with Neath right I didn’t enjoy playing Neath at all beneath the supposed to be one of the so-called new player Friendly’s.

Solid video dude! I think it's worth mentioning that since the map is mirrored the location of your top/solo and duo lanes will be dependent on if you're order or chaos. Solo side is always on the fire giant side of the map, and duo is always on the gold fury side regardless of which team you're on.

This was a really good short video to watch as I've made a full move to Smite 2 from League and I'm absolutely loving it. How about making a video about itemization? or the different phases of the game and what you're supposed to do (early game, mid game, late game)? Thank you so much for the videos you're making, they're helping new players like me enjoy the game even more.

Can you also make a video on what each lane is supposed to do and how much it differs from league. Idk if if i as solo should be doing the same thing i do in top in league
@postmelons22823 күн бұрын
I know I am not the original video content creator but I can give some general advice. Top, or Solo lane in smite is usually played by bruiser/tanky gods to 1v1 the other enemy solo. You guys rush to clear the wave in order to get the camps near your lane, such as the skull looking camp, money camps, or your blue buff. You can even try to invade the enemies camps to prevent them from getting farm, so you can get ahead in gold and xp. You can try poking the other enemy god to force them to back up so that they cant contest you in lane, leaving them more vulnerable, and letting minions go under their tower is a great way to get ahead of the enemy god. I would say around 5-10 minute mark you can be sneaky and try to gank middle lane, or even the duo lane using your teleporters to help your team get additional kills, and to help them out if they are struggling against their lane. Late game, it becomes a wandering phase, where most teams are gathered close, trying to get gold fury, and fire giant, and also pick off anyone out of position. Keep up pressure and take out phoenixes to apply pressure from all sides, forcing the enemy team to have to separate to defend. Then 1 good team fight is all it will take to win the game. Good luck!

SMITE was always a great game... we had the best action combat, the best social interaction, and we even had a healthy competitive scene for 3 most popular gamemodes, we weren't like League/Dota 2 where they only had 1 map... in MOBA genre that was in essence about millions of community made maps... we still have this outdated MOBA mentality that holds us back where we only cater to 40% of our playerbase DOTA/Conquest players and ignore everybody else. that is why I really hope they stop dividing the community on every corner and give Arena/Joust fans a leaderboard and some online tournaments. that would be so huge for the game. idk why we only focus on DOTA/conquest, 20 year old gamemode that wasn't even designed for Esports in the first place. i highly suggest watching animation like the King's Avatar. best gaming animation out there

@ The fact that you are this focused on ranked arena and joust is concerning. Joust had a leaderboard, and it had tournaments. People didn't play them and people didn't watch them. I'm sure people have told you this time and time again, but you still keep repeating the same thing.
@GamingDualities5 күн бұрын
@pepsiboydystopia lol if u think that was the reason they removed them u know very little about this thing. it all comes down to this outdated moba mentality a lot of these moba studios still have. they also removed Dominion and Tweesteed treeline from League of legends even tho community loved them. so dont bring that bs here if u dont actually understand what is the problem. thx u

@@GamingDualities I have played this game since closed beta Smite 1. I have seen terrible hirez decisions, and I feel like I have a good understanding of how they operate. I see the issue you are talking about, and it's something I talk about a lot as well, but I think you are heavily misdiagnosing the issue. You keep repeating these same tired canned points, that I'm sure you've put a lot of thought into. Currently, the issue with Smite's disconnect of the casual playerbase (composed by a majority of console players) and the design philosophy of the game is not an issue with the developers, it's an issue with Smite's market position. Smite cannot pivot away from a MOBA otherwise it is competing with games like Marvel Rivals, and pissing off a player base of loyal fans in the process. Smite has found a very interesting niche as one of the still alive MOBAs, given that every other MOBA after League and DOTA apart from Smite died. The thing is, since the MOBA genre is no longer booming, Smite can only attract players that are not immediately familiar with the MOBA genre and type of game, since: 1 - The players that like MOBAs have seen Smite, have rejected it for one reason or another (usually Hirez' reputation) or are already invested in League or DOTA. There are very few players looking to get into a MOBA in 2025. Funnily enough this is a position League and DOTA are also in, League attracted hardly any players to the game with the show Arcane, even though it cost $250M. 2 - The main way Smite gets new players is from online storefronts like Steam or consoles, just because it is a free game. Very few people are looking for Smite because it is Smite, normally they just want something to play and Smite happens to appear. This results in a player base that is half overwhelmingly casual, and half extremely invested, with a game that has to be designed for competitive play. The issue isn't that Smite is badly designed, it's that newer players are overwhelmingly casual, and instead of putting effort into learning the game they demand changes to the game, like you are. This then conflicts with the competitive players who disregard the casuals for not taking the game seriously, creating a ton of toxicity. Smite cannot pivot suddenly into being a game focused on Joust or Arena, otherwise you piss off both sides of the player base. Likewise, Smite cannot suddenly stop being a MOBA, because the players that like the competitive part of the game are the most loyal to it, and the most invested. The casual players Smite gets normally aren't invested in the game in the long term, because well, they are casual. If anything this problem has to be solved by better leading casual players into becoming invested long term into the game (better new player resources, reduction in toxicity), instead of capitulating to them and making the game more casual. And trust me, there have been decisions they have made before, in an attempt to appease casual players (read "reddit") and they usually don't go that well. Oh yea, also, they have tried competitive Arena and Joust, and I've said this to you before. It fundamentally does not fucking work. Joust kinda does but it becomes a lot less interesting. Arena simply is not designed for competitive play, the most effective strategy in Arena is to stall. We tried having Arena tournaments in Season 2, and it hasn't changed. We had joust tournaments in Season 3, when the Chinese map dropped, but people were not interested, and this is also reinforced by the fact that Ranked Joust was not that popular (even though it was at one point the most played game mode by Ajax, the lead designer of the game). I'm pretty sure Hirez understands the position they are in, and you are completely underestimating the complexity of problem with your "just make joust and arena the focus 4Head" shit.

Hey so I’m really new to this and I was wondering what would be a good build for Zeus and Anubis every time I try to find a video for them they end up being like 30+ minutes long
@LemSmite12 күн бұрын
Anubis is really fun with a full blaster ability build, i dont play a ton of mid but one build I see people going on him is: sands of time (starter) > book of thoth > soul gem > totem of death > rod of tahuti > cosmic horror and then last item u can go something like shard or doom orb for more pen, or dreamers idol if your fed. On Zeus I think attack speed is his best build, you can go the mage route but his passive makes him work really well as an ADC. I believe the meta carry build rn is bragis > wind demon > qins > exe > deathbringer > odysseus bow (or titans bane if you want more pen). For your starter I like leather cowl, but gilded and deaths toll are probably good too. Whichever you prefer :D Smitesource is a pretty reliable source for up-to-date builds so check that out as well
