Great project. I appreciate you taking the time to figure out how to work with a tyre. I also want to cut open a tyre, but in a very different way. I made a Hot Wheels Batmobile diorama set using the styrene wheel-well filler from a Toyota Yaris, and I've been considering mounting it inside a tyre. You've given me some ideas on how to pursue that. Thanks, and great chair!

Probably only thing different I'd have done is put metal braces on the corners so it would be more sturdy. Wouldnt want a strong gust or accidental drop to have it collapse. But it looks amazing! Definitely an easy DIY job
